So saw this pointed out that this completely goes against twitch TOS WWE very likely has some sort of deal with Twitch if this is happening. Doubt it because it will be a shit f***ing storm if Twitch gives an exception that completely goes against their TOS and a whole host of other legal ramifications that would likely see Twitch die. IMO just going by the TOS I wholely believe that someone did not like the superstars making the money they did from a side hustle and got into Vince's ear and and said a bunch of bullshit without looking any deeper than...."These guys and gals are making money using their WWE identities we have to stop this or find a way to profit at their expense" Vince is still trying to decyper the complexities of an abicus so no way he knows what Twitch is all on his own. I assume those stars that use twitch know the TOS and simply change their names and remove anything having to do with WWE from their streams because aint shit WWE can do atleast from looking at that TOS beyond bullshit scare tactics.

Mark my words, this is the tipping point for certain talents and this company.
WWE has already done so much shit that so many released talents have stated made it a miserable experience to try and get anything productive done. Now WWE is interfering with these wrestlers personal lives and well being for absolutely no reason. They don't need the money, they shouldn't even care, but they apparently do, and in doing so, are absolutely going to regret it.
No way some wrestlers are gonna take this. Wrestlers like Xavier Woods especially and any wrestlers who advidly use Twitch and other socials to help generate income and literally unwind from their work environment getting leeched by this company? No way this doesn't bite WWE in the ass. I sincerely do not think WWE knows just how big something like this could be in losing talent and also or negotiations on when contracts expire.
Xavier Woods does so much with gaming, it is basically what he has always wanted to do and make it big with. Considering he is vying for that G4 revival hosting gig too, he might be seriously considering his future, and if I'm him, I am using my pull right here and now on this bullshit. WWE needs him way more than he needs WWE. And that goes for several others.

"Hey guys, we might be starting back on the road soon despite the rising cases of COVID, oh and we're taking a cut of your Twitch and Cameo revenue too, see you tomorrow!"
They are literally daring some talents to try something at this point, as if the Saudi thing wasn't enough. Like damn how much can you take before you just snap or make a move?

yeah I guess Heath was quoted as a fair amount of people were contacting him about getting in with Impact, I can see why that'd be enticing right now.

Impact AEW New Japan's USA shows Even NWA's PPV shows Between that and the fact the Indies are coming back and The Collective is also set to happen again, yeah, the opportunities are vast and a lot of talent are clearly spinning their wheels in the company, and between that and this, it really might be a tipping point or the tipping point may already have well passed happened and they're waiting out their contracts. Some of these guys need to bet on themselves, WWE isn't the only ticket in town anymore.

Talent may grumble about it, but if they don't stand up and do something about it, that's just saying to the top brass they can continue to wipe their feet on them as much as they want.

Wow. This is just straight up unadulterated contempt for the people who work for you. This is Vince's disdain for people getting over without his blessing and his need to control everything and everyone now bleeding into their personal lives. Jesus Christ.
They need a group of performers with some pull -- performers they wouldn't want to lose -- to band together and say "naw, f*** this."

That's like the restaurant owners taking tips from the waitress. Which only the worst owners do. That BS that a talent can't on there own make more money with there own names not the WWE names on a platform. This is actually considerably worse, because a tip legally belongs to the restaurant owner and they are technically gifting it to you. This is more like if a waitress had a P/T job at a Hot Topic but the paycheque went to the restaurant owner and they paid her a percentage of it. I could understand the stance of WWE taking a 10% cut or something, because realistically most of these people are making considerably more money via Twitch etc. due to their exposure on WWE international platforms, but for WWE to take control of the money and pay a cut to the performer? Sweet f***, that is sooooooooooooo f***ed up

If it counts against the downside guarantee, doesn't that mean that in practice WWE wouldn't be paying them any percentage of the revenue?
Like, it would be like if you spend 100 dollars each month on lunches, and then one day your employer says "Good news, from now on we will pay for your lunch! Oh, and coincidentally, your monthly salary will now be 100 dollars lower"

By coincing in the AEW podcast yesterday Rusev said one of the best things is that AEW allowed Rusev to have a twitch stream.
I assume Vince gave him a "you are monster, you cant have a twitch"
