It'll be AJ. He'll lose money from this but there is zero chance he will support a union given how closely his beliefs align with Vince's.

Interesting, but I wonder if the wrestlers would vote in favor of a union as a whole. They’d not only need to get a majority of the talent to vote in favor, they’d also have to tackle the independent contractor status issue as independent contractors don’t have the right to form a union.

I’m not even expecting something to happen at all but as Lizuka said, her at least making it public puts her in a better position in terms of not just making WWE look bad if something were to happen but also gaining her sympathy if that did. Like, if she was fired tomorrow, she’d pretty much be on the phone with Andrew Yang and she’d be a talking head on the news cycle.
Like, even if nothing gets rolling right now, the seed’s been planted now. A WWE talent mentioned it on social media, likely the first time there’s been any mentioned since Ventura, and you can’t undo that now.

Yeah I don’t think they would dare fire her now, as that seems a pretty slam dunk NLRB retaliation-type case right there.

Considering that the idea is out in the open, I don't think there will be a union busting stooge. You can't rat out with it's already known.

WWE wants no part of that. I suspect they’ll back pedal faster than Deion Sanders here

If a workers union is made in WWE, how does that affects AEW and pro wrestling as a whole?

If a workers union is made in WWE, how does that affects AEW and pro wrestling as a whole? It will affect AEW and be an overdue reckoning for the industry as a whole. That said, indies can probably get away with being non-union because they use their wrestlers as independent contractors in the spirit of how the designation is meant to be used. As opposed to WWE, who abuses it to skirt giving their full-time employees much-deserved benefits.

What category would ROH, Impact, and MLW fall under? Not as big as the other two, but they have TV shows.

Unless the wrestlers try to make moves into SAG-AFTRA or they're explicitly pushing out to others, it's not too likely that there's immediate consequences for other companies, but it would give those rosters sudden leverage to push for more. What they're working on in WWE could very easily just be a union of WWE wrestlers, and the rest of the business has to go from there.

So looks like Asuka flies in the face of danger. This is her brand new episode since the third party rule became official.

I put Asuka with the AJ's and Seth's as loyal company people, but view her differently because she was financially secure coming In to wwe, so literally everything is icing on the cake for her

They won't do squat against Paige knowing what she's done in the past when she was idle/injured. If they fire her, the race for one of the other companies to sign her wouuld be over before the ink was dry on the termination papers. Moreover, there's been a gentlemen's agreement between Triple H and the Knights in order to keep her on and in sight as much as possible. If Vince screws that up, that could be the catalyst for her family to try to build up another promotion to take down NXT:UK once and for all.
I'm honestly not sure what they're trying to accomplish here, especially when things in the broader world seem to be hurdling to a head.

Also her doggo Lobster is a gift to humanity.
