Talent being reckless about a dangerous pandemic ✅ Talent being accused of sexual misconduct and assault ✅ Talent streaming on Twitch for some extra cash in tough economic times ❌

This company is f***ing toxic. Genuinely. Imagine trying to control what your employees do outside working hours. Whats next, Shopping for groceries is now seen as a "public appearance"? If I'm a wrestler, I'd continue streaming and if they threatened to fire me, I'd take their ass to court. If I'm a big enough deal, then they won't fire me. If I'm doing nothing on TV anyway, maybe I'm better off. It's a win win They dictate how talent dress while travelling, something they do in their own time and on their own dime so it's not beyond the realm of possibility. Air travel is covered by the E. And the rental car, hotel accommodations that the wrestlers pay for is all tax deductible due to their independent contractor status. So the travel is still in the realm of work-related.

Either Vince doesn't think NXT is important enough, or Trips knows how to read the room better than Vince ever did.

Playing armchair psychologist, you gotta have to feel for Paige.
Considering she spent her whole childhood/teen days working for her family, breaking her body to follow on their footsteps, getting in an every abusive and controlling relationship, getting her career taken of her against her will.
It must suck having people try to take away the few things you have control over your life and that you can say it is yours

This is a push for the WWE to start acting as the talent's agents, where they take complete control and a cut of every single thing they do. In a sane company you could defend that to an extent, go 'Well, it's in the company's interest to maximise the assets they have, to get guys who are over out there to make as much money for everyone and they can open doors the talent can't on their own', but this company has a long history of cutting people off at the knees because of some nonsense that had nothing whatsoever to do with their performances. They love trying to push talent in management's good graces over the ones who are actually over, Indy jones who got over organically isn't going to be prioritised by a company that actively told their videogame partners they didn't want the guy they wanted, they wanted Sheamus.

If this does end up with someone going to court, I really hope for once they don't settle. A lot of damage has been by people saying "money is money" when it comes to battling wwe in court.

Paige is going live on Twitch now. She said she'll keep on doing it and she feels happy due to all of the support given to her. So yeah, she's staying on Twitch. www.twitch.tv/SarayaOfficial

I think my question now is I’m basically wondering how the WWE hierarchy works at this point.
Like, HHH was basically demoted from talent relations to only focusing on NXT which seems to be the case and someone took over the TR role. So how is he able to offer different contracts to those talents without it going through TR? Because it’s not like there are that much substantial differences from a developmental and main roster contract besides pay, right?
And sure, some of that might come from HHH just not wanting to lose his Papa H image and building good will towards an eventual takeover when Vince passes but is that even guaranteed? If Steph takes over, would she keep to the same structure or try something that gives HHH more flexibility and control over NXT and the main roster?
It just feels like there are way more questions than answers with all this.

My best guess is somebody handles the TR day-to-day, but HHH has authority to hand out contracts as he sees fit in much the same way Vince can and has.

As I type this Adam Cole and Drake are also streaming, Adam never said anything about it. AJ Styles, Cesero, and one other person (Name is escaping me at the moment) I know off really stopped. Everyone else as streamed since this came up that I know of or at less follow.

This thing is going to come to a head at some point, especially with the company doing more about this and less about the COVID outbreaks.

All these guys and gals are getting significantly less money with no attendance revenue. Why not just hold off on this until after the pandemic.
I am guessing the extra revenue WWE is getting from this is probably less than what they spend on PR.

I am guessing the extra revenue WWE is getting from this is probably less than what they spend on PR. Thats the thing, the WWE is wanting a piece of the pie that there talent created on there own free time. Yes all the talent are missing out on a lot of the money from what you said as well as stuff like the big WM payday since WM didn't go on the way it normally did. For someone like Paige who even under normal situations doesn't change since she can't wrestle so unless the WWE writes her in as a GM or makes her an interviewer. She been at home doing nothing. Which likely doesn't get paid as much now since she doing nothing. The fact the one thing she did do, that show was cancelled. They didn't use her in any of there new shows on WWE network and ext. The big thing for the talent is the interactions with fans. Since the pandemic has taken away the meet and greet events. This is for them to kind of do that. As well all the positive PR. The WWE feels they should made the money from there work, even after they told them they could still do it but without the WWE names. Which they all did, but that seemed to all of sudden be not enough.

I think when push comes to shove, WWE's going to cave on this. I don't blame AJ Styles for playing along as he's probably wanting to retire in WWE, but they're pulling on a thread I don't think Vince is geared up for and with talent seemingly continuing to stream as well as an election about to happen in two days, I see them backing off.
Then again, you could wallpaper a room with a list of the mistakes WWE has made as a company, so who the f*** knows.
