Also, Drake Maverick must be really feeling it with all of this as well
He was released, started a twitch account almost right away, they rehire him (I'd GUESS at reduced pay), and now they're probably going to keep him from continuing using that account. Yikes.

Is there any info out there as to whether an alternative was offered. Because I canât see WWE leaving money on the table with some of this stuff. Maybe theyâll do more original content for the network and have the wwe people stream from that platform. Yes, it takes away directly from the WWE wrestlers, but WWE doesnât care about that. Livestreaming costs way too much money for WWE to see this as worthwhile. They aren't out a dime by telling people to knock this off, but the idea of investing back into trying to work on this themselves is way steeper than any potential returns.

Well, this just confirms it. Vince McMahon doesn't want employees. He wants subjects.

that's not possible for Vince to own the real names of talent They do TM real names like John Cena for merchandise purposes. They wouldn't own his name, though, if he was no longer under contract.

No alternative is gonna please the wrestlers enough as Twitch and Cameo where they were making really good money and overall just able to relax, unwind, and bond with their friends and connect to the fans in a different way It's WWE continuing to try and suck the soul out of their wrestlers and make them puppets for Vince, and I think quite a few of them are tired of it. The dream of wrestling for WWE is turning into a nightmare, it's not the company they watched when theyw ere growing up and they're quickly realizing it

WWE PR Person: So here's the list of platforms we don't our talent involved with.
*Vince grabs the list and looks it over*
Vince: Let's see Twitch, TikTok, Cameo...Cameo?!? Goddamn pal since when did that one hit wonder get his own website?
WWE PR Person: Ummmm...
Vince: Oh you know Cameo, that guy from the 80's had that song Word Up. Bruce sing a couple of bars would ya?
Bruce: *sign* Yo pretty ladies around the world, Got a weird thing to show you, So tell all the boys and girls, Tell your brother, your sister and your mamma too 'Cause we're about to go down, And you know just what to do, Wave your hands in the air like you don't care, Glide by the people as they start to look and stare, Do your dance, do your dance, do your dance quick mamma, Come on baby tell me what's the word...
Vince: Word up!

Yikes. They used Maverick for a sympathy push to pat themselves on the back for a feel good story created out of their own awful rhetoric. Since signing him, they have done f*** all with him, except if you count him getting his ass kicked over and over I will never get over hos disgusting that entire angle was especially with the payoff being... basically Maverick back to irrelevancy.

Yikes. Everything about the whole Maverick situation is so f***ing gross. It's clear as day they only rehired him because he was becoming the face of what a heartless, cruel thing releasing all those people was and they wanted to try to distract from it.

All of this sounds highly illegal. Is there a source wrestleinc got this from? I don't doubt it, but it sounds really newzy in terms of "we own your real names" Itâs in contracts a lot. I think itâs Sony who actually âownsâ the names of Penn & Teller. They signed them away when they did Penn & Teller Get Killed. Nothing has ever come of it and no one is gonna enforce it.

And that WWE platform where they stream games and do all their social stuff that they'll probably come out with in the future (and you know they will) will be suuuuuuucccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dogshit. They just don't get it. Hell, the smart thing would be promoting their superstars and their platforms on tv so fans can gravitate to it and like the superstars more because everybody is way more likeable on their own terms compared to tv. Even Corbin.
UUDD Corbin is the Corbin he should be the entire time.
This is so stupid lol. I'm laughing right now at the dumbness of this lol.

If they want to anger current talent enough to get them to sue immediately on release over the independent contractor lie, cutting off their means to make cash at a time the WWE aren't running shows seems like a pretty good way to do so.

Would love to see top guys like New Day challenge this There is no way they don't. There is no way Creed doesn't especially, this is f***ing with his dream jobs, his dream opportunities outside of wrestling. There's no way he's gonna stand for it when he's shown he has a sustainable franchise and doesn't even have to wrestle and Vince is trying to f*** with that. Creed will walk, and nothing about the 90 Day No-Compete will matter with him.

Taylor Wilde, who had a stint in OVW before going to TNA, pretty much says the real name stuff has been around for a while.

This is one of those times I hope fans raise up such a stink this weekend that WWE/Vince changes course on this decision , also (I know Vince doesn't care) I find it hard to believe that no one in that chain of command said that this is going to be a VERY bad look on the company as a whole.
