I didn鈥檛 realize the Titans picked up Clowney. I always assumed he鈥檇 end up back in Seattle just to spite me.

This game is giving me some hope for the offense. Got to the defense back on track though, it's needed badly.

Whew... glad for Gostkowski. From outhouse to hero in one kick.

Week 2 starts on Thursday with a game that would be a Main Event ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, The Browns vs The Bengals! A Battle of the Greatest Teams of All Time! When I say Battle, I mean two historically shoddy clubs getting into fisticuffs between shanked punts and braindead turnovers. And when I say Greatest Teams, I mean two amazingly atrocious toilet bowl franchises with only fleeting glimmers of hope. And by All Time, I mean just how historically shit this game is twice every god forsaken year.
This game is the Dumpster Fire of Dumpster Fires. This feels like the NFL is giving the middle finger to Thursday Night as if it stole it's lunch money. The Bills vs Jets Games throughout the Ages look to this cursed soulcrushing matchup between the Browns and Bengals and think "See, we aren't that bad."
If this was Pro Wrestling, it would be an Alberto Del Rio vs Lars Sullivan Iron Man Match.

So, I had a few questions after seeing that my thread was stickied. First off, thank you. Second, is the plan that this will be the one NFL thread for both general discussion and live game discussion? Since before, there was one discussion thread for each week as well as a general thread for the whole season. I'm fine either way, I can even update the OP every week with the lineup of games for the week like I did with the weekly threads.

I鈥檇 personally prefer a general and weekly games thread to be separate. That way any of the roster moves or other news don鈥檛 get lost in the 20+ page shuffle of Sunday.

Just change the name of this thread to the main NFL thread and someone else will create the weekly ones

Niners sign Sanu. Another target for JimmyG to loft balls over.
Makes sense with all the injuries.

You get into it and temporarily forget how pathetic they both are. Hell, the game that really got me big into football was a 58-48 Cincy win over Cleveland in 2004.
