I refuse to believe they’ll actually take Jones for that reason. If they traded up on draft night to, say, number seven, then I could see Jones being in play. But trading that haul that early is swinging for a home run, not a double. Lance can be in play (to keep the baseball metaphor going, taking Lance is like an Adam Dunn swing - you’ll either hit a homer or strike out). Fields could be in play (he’d be, I don’t know... Pujols?). But taking Jones would be like trading three first round picks for former White Sox great Scott Podsednik. No one’s trading three firsts for White Sox legend Scott Podsednik. Yeah, like Mac Jones is a "safe pick" I don't see him being greatly better than what he is but he shouldn't be a bum neither. Fields or Lance are X factors. It is all or nothing with those two and that's more so what you want especially since you don't have to play them right away I can very easily see Mac Jones becoming the next Derek Carr. In fact, I’d say that’s probably his most likely outcome. But it’s Derek Carr. Fields really isn’t an all or nothing guy, though. Based on PFF’s charting data, Fields and Jones were really the two most accurate passers in basically all of their data, but Fields also brings much better physical attributes. Basically the only knocks against him are forced onto him by the Ohio State scheme (the “holding onto the ball too long/waiting for his first read to get open” critiques in particular. That doesn’t necessarily mean those things won’t be an issue in the NFL, just that they are unknowns, rather than known issues). He really should be the Niners’ pick (Lance, though, yeah, the team that takes him is basically praying for him to become the next Josh Allen).

Fields has to tell teams about his epilepsy which shouldn't be a problem as he said he hasn't suffered any seizures as long as he takes his medication but I can see a bit of worry there I think Fields has it in him to be good and I thought he could have went as high as number two to the Jets. San Fran has weapons and he can sit and be good for them

I really hope I’m just letting the media blindly guessing taint my vision, but as much as I like Shanahan as a coach I can’t say I trust his vision in “HIS GUYS” and from what I know, it makes too much sense unfortunately,

The Niners have to want Fields. That’s the only reason for taking such a huge jump. I don’t think Fields is great either, but taking Mac Jones that high is a huuuuge stretch .
Only reason they’d go so high for Jones is if every other team ahead of them was asking for their first born to move up

Ain’t letting a dead OLine prevent any more Super Bowls. So you're looking at a line of Brown, Thuney, Blythe, Long, Niang...that left side could be the best in the league.

Can have as great a line as you want but you run into a murderer's row up front again, forget it.
Not convinced Tampa's wins were because of no Bakhtiari or Fisher (especially since Bakhtiari sucks). Packers had an intact line in the regular season and the Bucs stomped them. Even with a healthy line the results would have been the same. Granted, not every team is going to have a d-line full of monsters but those that come close are still going to wreak havoc. f***ing hell, THE HOGS would have struggled against that Bucs front.

Ain’t letting a dead OLine prevent any more Super Bowls. So Baltimore just handed (barring injuries) the AFC Championship to KC 🤣. Hope Lamar wanted to run more 😂

Dolphins have traded Ereck Flowers to the Football Team The Dolphins basically just opened up that they're taking Sewell or Slater at 6..Hunts gonna kick in to guard and they'll likely flip their young LT to RT as he's a better fit there.

I’m fine with that if Pitts and Chase are off the board. However if either is available and we take a lineman with how injury prone every decent pass catcher on our roster is I’ll be pissed. I also don't think that guarantees anything about #6 when we have 4 picks in the first 50. I think all it guarantees is we're going to take a lineman with one of our first four picks which was already likely.

Panthers have traded QB Teddy Bridgewater to Denver for a 6th round draft pick.
Not a fan of this trade.
