The dude they drafted from Utah I believe made it pretty clear they were moving on from Hooker after the year. I know they went with Julian Blackmon to try and go in another direction but it still doesn't look good when a top pick goes bust. To be fair, Hooker was great his first season (until he got hurt, that is) because he was drafted to play in Chuck Pagano's defensive system. He was tailor made for that defense, but not as much for the current system. Blackmon definitely looks to be a better fit for the current system. BTW, Parris Campbell apparently suffered a MCL strain, which can be a pain to recover from. It might cost him the rest of this season, which sucks because it looks as though it was all clicking for him this year.

Everybody is ragging on Kirk Cousins for the Vikings performance, but as far as I can tell the whole team shit the bed harder than a guy who drank water while on vacation in Mexico. The receivers did not get open. Kirk did not play well himself. The defense ran at half speed on most plays. Last, but not least, the offensive line was not up to the task AT ALL.
That guy gave up 3 sacks yesterday, I think. Tyquan Lewis one-armed him away on his way to his sack as well and I think he also gave up the safety (though to be fair to Kirk that should not have been a safety).

Wonder if this tough luck, or consequences of a scaled back preseason

Wonder if this tough luck, or consequences of a scaled back preseason The lack of preseason and offseason conditioning definitely is playing a role here.

Wonder if this tough luck, or consequences of a scaled back preseason There are always a lot of early injuries either way, it's big names this year so it's standing out.

Wonder if this tough luck, or consequences of a scaled back preseason More the lack of a more robust offseason practice and conditioning regimen. Not like these guys ever play in the preseason anyway.

We’ve replaced Tyquan Lewis with the ghost of Reggie White, let’s see if anyone notices.

Before yesterday, teams that scored 39 points with no turnovers committed were 440-0. 440-1 now. Failcons, baby.

Big injuries - Saquan Barkley confirmed ACL tear, out for the year - Christian McCaffrey out for a "few weeks" with ankle injury - 49ers whole team (Solomon Thomas knee, Joey Boas ACL, Jimmy G Ankle) Not counting their other injuries - Drew Lock shoulder injury out for 2-6 weeks - Courtland Sutton knee injury - Tavon Young knee injury possibly out for the year - Malik Hooker in what looks like an Achilles tear This is only the beginning of what will most likely be a lot of injuries So, to add on to this Tavon Young is an ACL tear. As said before Courtland Sutton is an ACL. Anthony Bar torn pec. Bruce Irvin ACL tear on Sunday night

I mean, on the one hand I get it. But they're also tested like, every other day and on game day. The $$ amount seems kinda excessive

I wanted to say this since I know there are NE fans here, Stephon Gilmore is a great player, but he played DK Metcalf like he was scared shitless of him, whats up with that?

Gilmore is really good to very good, but is still extremely overrated imo by mostly the NFL media, other fans and some Patriots fan of course. As for that particular matchup. Well DK just bodied him most of the night.

Nathan Peterman is making more guaranteed money than Cam Newton this year.
That's just an injustice. There's no way Newton should be making less money than the f***ing Peter Man.
