Did not see that coming but that's a good signing with that young defense and Murray on the rise Cardinals were up and down this year but coming into next season they shouldn't make those same mistakes

Terms of the deal according to Schefter: JJ Watt is signing with the Arizona Cardinals, per @jjwatt. Cardinals are giving Watt a two-year, $31 million deal that includes $23 million guaranteed, per source.

Kyler needs to grow up for them to reach their potential. Dude went to the Cam Newton school of body language. Sky is the limit for him, but as of now when things go wrong he goes wrong.

Well, even if the Colts were interested in bringing him in (and I think there was some interest), that price tag is a bit much for a declining, injury-prone player, even one who has been as dynamic as Watt has been. I’m confused though. I thought he was ring hunting. I don’t see the Cardinals getting in that conversation during that 2 year contract. I thought he’d be looking at the Bucs, Packers, KC (lining up next to Jones would make him feel young again), Steelers (not so much to chase the ring, but to play with his family), the Rams (same about playing next to Donald), and maybe the Colts if he thought the Wentz move could pay off (again, lining up besides Buckner would do wonders for him plus give him a chance to stick it to the Texans twice a year). I also thought he might wait a bit to see what the WFT did at QB, because Watt playing 3 technique with those dynamic DEs would be AMAZING.

I'm all for getting money, but JJ signing with the Cards just screams I DON'T CARE ABOUT WINNING A SUPER BOWL! Just my 2 cents.
also going from a tough/competitive division of the AFC South to another really tough division seems stupid aswell.

Kyler isn't quite there yet, but body language psychology is something I've never put any stock in. Jay Cutler and Eli Manning had the same damn disinterested look and one guy never won squat and the other was one of the most clutch QBs of the last 20 years.

Watt’s camp but the two sides were “never close to making anything happen,” as the price was “pretty substantial.” I’m fine with that. Do your due diligence but don’t pay out the nose for an aging, declining, injury-prone defensive end. Had Watt gone for half the price he did, then maybe the Patriots would’ve been more serious suitors.

Bad body language really only looked bad on Cam He was a front runner and when shit didn't go his way he sulked but that was Jay natural personality and Eli doesn't get too high or low so body language really wasn't something to investigate with them

QBs in the rest of the NFL: "Man, the defenses we face are nuts. It's like a Murderer's Row." QBs and O-Lines in the NFC West: "f*** you!"

So crazy thought, should the Cards trade Kyler and draft picks deemed enough for Watson?
Then the Cards will have taken the best parts the Texans had

Then the Cards will have taken the best parts the Texans had Nah Kyler will improve and he's only going to be in year 3. With this season and the next two, they still have cap flexibility with him and able to make moves

The Cardinals taking both Watt and Hopkins from Houston is about to make a very bitter rivalry with these teams fans lmfao.

Dak and his camp are asking for Mahomes money, if he gets that much good for Dak but is there any team in the league who'd actually give him that much, especially after his injury

The Cowboys couldn't field a full roster if they paid everybody they got. If you paid Dak big contract money two years ago it would have been massively cheaper in the long run than if you pay him today. Congrats Jerry, you played yourself.

But that’s just stupid. On no level is Dak, or anyone else for that matter, worth Patrick Mahomes money. Hell, even Patrick Mahomes himself might be tough to justify once his contract starts capping the team from building a support around him. We saw what happens when his line falls apart.

Jerry had plenty to throw around after his energy company had mega profit taking advantage of Texans during the that crazy cold snap. He can easily find a way to slip Dak something under the table, not like Goodell will stand up to him.
