Supply and Demand for Val Venis and Godfather's tag team (which was called...Val Venis and Godfather) I'm sure there will be loads of tag teams since they mostly stopped naming them. Billy Gunn and The Big Shows weren't officially called The Show Gunns Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang weren't called Moore Wang

Most fans seem to prefer "Fat Thor" to the official "Bro Thor."

Real life example, I don't think I've EVER heard somebody refer to Christopher Wallace as Notorious B.I.G. in conversation.
EVERYBODY calls that dude Biggie (Smalls)
You MIGHT get someone to call him B.I.G. but that's few and far between

Meatball Head for Sailor Moon "Bun Head" and "Dumpling Head", while more accurate translations, sounded too cute to be used to tease someone. "Meatball Head" sounded mean-spirited enough to work as a tease, especially with her pigtails looking like spaghetti.

I feel like you can tell whether or not someone played Kid Icarus Uprising depending on if they call him Dark Pit or Pittoo.

Does anyone here ever refer to Damian Wayne as "Robin"? I feel like fans always just call him Damian.

I saw far more people refer to Daenerys in Game of Thrones as Khaleesi than her actual name.

I just remembered my favorite one:
British singing trio The Sugababes was originally made up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan & Siobhán Donaghy (although their manager owned the name of the group & essentially the group overall.) Manager would, for various reasons, boot out each original girl one by one & replace her with another singer as to keep The Sugababes a trio. Eventually the Sugababes was made up of 3 non-original members, thus that trio was nicknamed "The Splendababes".
