Nobody will ever convince me that Bob the Goon wasn't the highest selling action figure of all time!
And those Love Boat action figures would've been in scale with the GI Joe action figures. I smell crossover!

As for the ones I remember sitting on shelves for a huge amount of time, the Crystar and Sgt. Rock figure lines, as well as the Transformer Throttlebots and Action Masters.

I also had Bob the Goon. I also had that ghostbusters toilet....which I used for gimmick matches in my action figure wrestling federation.

For some reason as a kid I had two different Batman figures and none of his villains...so I just had one be an evil imposter.
Nowadays I would ADORE a Bob The Goon figure.

Had two Batmen figures too... they were the same Batman 89 figure, but the faces were different. One had a skinny face, the other more stumpy. Was weird.

I remember Inferno from Beast Wars bloating shelves in my childhood. It sucked, because I liked Inferno, but he was one of what I thought of as "mid-size" Beast wars figure, coming in box instead of in a peg packaging, but not as big as the large, top-shelfers that there were very few of like the combiners. So it sucked that he was always filling up that spot instead of Optimus Prime figure which I never managed to get. But it did surprise me no one else liked Inferno. His character sucked on the show, but his figure was just super cool.

Mine both had the same face, but one had a purple costume and one had a gold one. The gold one got some of the paint chipped off of his chin, so it looked like he had a goatee. Naturally he was the evil one.

Another peg-warmer from the Super Powers line was Dr. Fate. He was on store shelves a few years after the line ended.

If we're talking about Beast Wars, I don't think I walked into a Toys R Us or Kay-Bee while I was in college and didn't see row after row of Optimus Minor figures just sitting there, looking sad.

From about 97 until they closed the local Kaybee Toys had piles of those Primal Rage figures.

The one with the skinnier face was made to resemble Batman from the comics and the chubbier faced one was supposed to look more like Michael Keaton. I'm not sure which run came first or at which point they switched it though.

I remember my local Kay Bee had two Rancor Keepers on a peg until about 1992 or so.

For a bit in the early 90s the first release was worth almost double what the Keaton face one was. No clue about now. Kinda got out of keeping up with action figure prices not long after I finished getting all the figures from the 70s and 80s I wanted.
