well, Florida government is opening things up with no restrictions so it's not like wrestlers are the only ones in that state being cavalier about everything This is what further get me about all this. For all of our talk about wanting to do things safely and whatnot...the f*** is the messaging when the government gives less of a shit about the safety of people than all of us in this thread do? The government doesn't want to admit they f***ed up big time, and we're in this mess thanks in large part due to leadership that got rid of a prevention team, didn't think a global pandemic was an issue, and didn't want to listen to experts. Instead of admitting they were wrong, and that we've got to get our act together, they quadruple down on a global pandemic not being an issue. Yeah, shit's gonna hit the fan for WWE and AEW when it comes to COVID.

Yeah, shit's gonna hit the fan for WWE and AEW when it comes to COVID. I don’t want to lean into politics too much when there’s a thread with a bit more leniency to it but all of that is true. Even with WWE, their no sell of Covid makes “sense” when you look at the wider picture of what the US, and some other countries, have reacted to it overall and trying to get things back on track when you only needed just a bit more time in quarantine and a well structured plan to get things in a better position. If many things were clarified, hell, WWE might not have even done shows in the first place and kicked off all this mess and they’d be, at the very least, doing better attended shows in Florida by now.

As weird as it sounds, Impact's had the best plan. I would hope that all of this leads both WWE and AEW to adopt Impact's plan. A marathon taping to knock out a month to 2 months worth of shows at a time.

I’m obviously not going to put it here and you can find it in other places but a lot of stuff has come out involving Road Dogg from his social media profiles that...likely explains some of the attitudes WWE’s had around COVID.

For some reason I imagine WWE staff get 10 bizarrely confusing emails a day saying things like "We're not going to do it but prepare to do it." and are left wondering what the hell is going on 75% of their time.

WWE should not even think about travelling again until 2021 rolls around or at the very least until a vaccine happens, but that might also BE in 2021.
AEW's been pushing their limits as well with allowing fans, but travelling on the road is REALLY pushing it given we've already seen some outbreaks on the Indies over travelling around.

I am of the opinion that neither WWE nor AEW will be satisfied until someone on their roster dies of COVID-19. I'm also of the opinion that there are precious, precious few on either roster taking any of this seriously.
This is lowering my opinion of the two companies further, and is actually hurting my image of the wrestlers themselves and the business as a whole. I just wish someone could look at themselves in a mirror and see themselves as a hero whose comportment and example could actually lead to change.

They know there will be no fans, so why the f*** even think about going on the road?

They rented a hotel to keep everyone in for a week before they even made contact with each other. During that week they COVID tested every other day. Then they filmed matches in an empty arena and changed the mats after each match.

Annnnnnd, WWE's "LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR" travel policy has crossed the line where even reading about them's too depressing again.

It might not lead to anything (it’s likely not to lead to much considering whose in charge in Florida) but yeah, not a great look at all. Especially if things come out from it.

Not good at all. I suppose that's for violating health guidelines, right?

Looks like the McMahons will have to make another bribe generous contribution to Florida's governor to get out of this one.

www.wftv.com/news/local/marion-county/orange-county-strike-team-look-into-bars-businesses-where-covid-19-might-be-spreading/EUK33ZWQK5D35P6UHZWH4ZKSKY/The full story rather than just a picture. The Florida Health Board has asked a Strike Team to check on a bunch of businesses where there have been suspected outbreaks or where there could be outbreaks due to young people mixing. WWE has issued a statement already: "In a statement, WWE said: “WWE is not open to the public, but rather operating on a closed set with only essential personnel in attendance. As part of on-going weekly testing protocols, Aventus Labs have administered more than 10,000 PCR tests to WWE performers, employees, production staff and crew resulting in only 1.5 percent positive cases as compared to the current national average of more than 5%. Additionally, extensive contact tracing takes place and impacted individuals are placed in 14-day quarantine and then only cleared after they test negative.”"

Perfect f***ing timing for Braun Strowman to attend a bike rally a couple of days before working a match on Raw last night.
