twitter.com/KryptonSite/status/1308496315211419648?s=20Jeez, it's like COIE and Arrow's end is slowly eroding the Arrowverse Thankfully we'll still have Superman and Lois, Flash, Legends and Batwoman I guess. Stargirl as well, though it's set on another Earth. Kinda with Green Arrow and the Canaries had been picked up.

Makes sense. Melissa needs to devote most of the time to the kid.

I'm glad because the Arrowverse has too many shows, but there is going to be backlash for ending a Supergirl show and replacing it with a Superman one.

Yeah that’s not shocking.
I feel like the CW/Arrow/Berlantiverse has run its course and maybe it’s time for most of those shows to wrap it up even if they’re still decent.

Given all the elements they introduced via Supergirl, they might have thought it easier to end it with season 6 and then allow the most critical characters to pop up for crossovers and the Superman & Loisshow. Thus Melissa can really get the time off to spend with her family while appearing every once in a while to show Kara's still active. {Spoiler}Incidentally, if they don't end the show with Supercorp as canon, there will be a portion of the audience quite ticked off.

Eh, I feel like Legends rotating cast and Flash's continued quality make a case for a longer run in those shows. I get it though, I just want all the comic book shows tho.

But it’s just like....where does it all go after Crisis. Even if you don’t outright wrap up all the shows, I think some trimming is in order atleast and it’s happening

The current slate of shows may well end but no way does CW just do away with DC shows.
Flash supposedly is only going 8 seasons so that will undoubtably be the biggest hit unless they spin it off into following Wally West instead of Barry.
Black Lightning should still be around and that is a great f***ing show outside of season 2.
Legends always has a rotating cast so that show should really have no reason to end anytime soon.
Now would be a good time to actually green light that Green Arrow and the Canaries show but seems they wont which is mightly stupid considering you have a solid huge fanbase that will follow the show and make it a hit right outta the gate.
I was gonna say Static Shock seems inevitable as a show to spin off from Black Lightning but supposedly they are doing a movie and DC has a stubborn f***ing attitude when it comes to characters not being allowed to appear on TV and movies at the sametime.

Kara has never been bi in the comics and the showrunners and cast members have said several times Lena and Kara aren't happening as an endgame. There's nothing wrong with a perfectly heterosexual heroine, regardless of what current year twitter twats say or do

Legends has all of time and space to play with and a rotating cast. It could run for years if they wanted to, kind of an American Dr Who with the added bonus of magic being as viable as science. Don't get why it always seems in doubt for renewal, can soft reboot it forever.

Also Kara's had a wlw relationship in Bombshells at the very least.

Well that sucks. It and Legends were the only DC CW shows worth watching. Flash went to crap with season 2. Arrow was never that good. Never bothered with the rest.

Anyway, I hope that the show is ending on its own terms instead of being cancelled. But then given how much of a mess Season 5 was (combined with it tanking in the ratings), maybe it's a soft mercy killing. I hope they either end up pulling the trigger on Supercorp, let Kara stay single, or at least give her a more interesting love interest than William "Less Exciting Than Cardboard" Dey.

Plus, it's not as if the CWverse has always adhered to comic continuity anyways, who cares? Kara in the comics has never had a "Lois Lane" iconic love interest so what does it matter who she ends up with, if anyone? Honestly, her and Lena have had the best chemistry on the show, minus her and Mon-El which makes sense considering they're an actual couple IRL. Might as well make it official. Other than Mon El, Kara has NEVER had an interesting love interest on the show and it would honestly be heartwarming to end it on those terms to me. It sounds as if they are planning on making it a proper final season, so there's hope it ends how they want. Hopefully Lex heads to Superman and Lois though, that would be so amazing.

My sister-in-law is gay.
You can be supremely bored with the constant pandering to same-sex relationship representation in current year media at the expense of straight ones and not be homophobic. If something like this happens all the time in television and movies, then what's so new and different about it? There comes a time where it becomes predictable. My frustrations with Harley and Ivy stem from their relationship simply not interesting me...when did lack of interest suddenly equate to prejudice? I preferred Ivy with Kite, and I like Harley with Joker or Booster in the comics. Simple as that. I think Ivy and Harley work better as a will they/won't they or BFFs with underlining sexual tension. It also doesn't help that the Supercorp mob on social media are themselves a pretty spiteful and unhinged mob who have openly insulted anyone who doesn't support their pairing exclusively. Including cast members. I know I'm not homophobic, so I couldn't give a jot if you label me as one. You are a stranger to me. Let's just avoid one another. I doubt this is going to evolve into a meaningful conversation.

Kara's never really had any real chemistry with a male love interest besides Mon-El (which, again, makes sense given Mel and Chris' own relationship). Winn and James made for better friends than romantic partners and if William had a superpower, it'd be the ability to be more boring than watching paint dry. Hell, I got stronger romantic vibes between Kara and Barry than any of the non-Mon-El love interests.
Interestingly enough, one of the stronger romances in the comics, IIRC, was with Brainiac-5 when Supergirl was in the future with the Legion. And we didn't even get a hint of that in the show. I think Mel and Jesse Rath could've had fun with that if they wanted to pursue that.
And while they were never a thing (since I think Barbara is straight and didn't reciprocate), there are some parts of the comics I remember where if Kara wasn't outright flirting with Batgirl, it sure as hell came close enough lol.

I just want Zatanna on legends so we can then eventually spin her and constant off into a Justice League Dark show.

As long as they never cancel Legends - something I'm always in fear of, even though I shouldn't be because it's their best show by far - I really couldn't care less. Sucks for people who like Supergirl, for sure, but I stopped watching it seasons ago, so it's a total shrug emoji from me.
