Yea, you barking up the wrong tree when those threads have been 50 pages and over This is nothing but "gamesmanship" and has nothing to do with the wrestlers themselves Oh yeah? How many wrestlers and employees lost their jobs when Vince bought WCW in 2001? How many would lose their jobs if Vince succeeded and NXT had hurt AEW enough? You celebrate Vince's corporate raidership, his blatant anticompetitiveness, with glee. I can’t defend most of what Vince has done in his career but don’t for one second think any other promoter wouldn’t have bought out their competitors just like Vince did. And I’m asking you now, calm down.

For ole time’s sake, they should have Big Show fall off the roof of the building and turn up alive without a scratch later in the night. Bobby: Which side did he fall on, the water or the street Bischoff: Does it matter?

I don't celebrate nothing sir, don't put words in my mouth Also if you don't think someone would buy out their competition on the cheap which only adds to their own industry, I have some news for you because that's how corporations work

But the way you’ve been saying it has been a bit too argumentative. So please, just take it down a bit.

I didn't mean YOU celebrating, I mean the WWE professional wrestling fan celebrating the use of IP from a company the WWE spent 12 years trying to run out of business. Now being used to hurt yet another competitor to their monopoly. Enjoy it by all means, I just have a disdain for what Vince has done and continued to do. Using Halloween Havoc is an insult to the people who made it, who put it on for years, who weren't allowed to put it on anymore, and now 20 years later, used as a prop to hurt people just daring to be in the same industry at Vince McMahon.

I don't want to be argumentative, I guess I was overly emotional about how exploitive I find this. I still have fond memories of WCW, and knowing how Vince is using this upset me, which is unnecessary in a wrestling forum.

As you mentioned WCW, the only person I think who would have gloated as long and loud as Vince if the buy-out was the other way around, is Bischoff. He’s still dining out on beating WWF in the ratings for 83 weeks (or whatever it was) over twenty years ago. Imagine how insufferable he’d be had WCW won.

Bischoff admits that his desire was to run Vince out of business. You can argue that took priority over everything in the company which is what led to the bad decisions But in the end, WWE purchased WCW and got everything along with it. It is their property to do as they see fit. It is not to say that is right or wrong but that's how shit works. Fans been calling for events like Halloween Havoc, Starrcade, War Games for years and finally getting some of that but in NXT because Vince doesn't want to use shit he didn't create

Fans been calling for events like Halloween Havoc, Starrcade, War Games for years and finally getting some of that but in NXT because Vince doesn't want to use shit he didn't create I think that’s the main difference between Eric and Vince. As you said, Eric was so obsessed in concentrating on what Vince was doing, he neglected his own company. Vince concentrated more on making his product better. That may sound ridiculously pro-Vince but I do believe it. He’s always been more than capable of hurting the competition with utter pettiness but back then, he was motivated to make his show better. Unfortunately, the lack of real competition in the 21st century dulled that side of Vince. Now even the most pro-WWE fans acknowledge that Vince needs to step down.

So WWE should not be celebrated because it tried to put WCW out of business, but WCW should be celebrated even though they tried to do the same thing to the WWE? Also, you can get mad about Vince trying to hurt AEW, but this is not going to hurt AEW at all. People aren't suddenly going to run in droves from AEW to WWE because they put on a show called Halloween Havoc. It didn't work for Great American Bash or Starrcade.

And the complaints before has been NXT is countering AEW because they advertised stuff beforehand and NXT had to play catch up Now, NXT is advertising stuff for end of month so it still counts as trying to hurt AEW?

It's just extremely great one of the best PPV names is actually used instead of being locked away in the attic, like it's been for almost 20 years.

Finn should bring back The Demon one more time, just for this night. I really want them to get wacky with this.
And a costume battle royal is a must.
