It has been 16 years since Malice at the Palice To think if it didn't happen, Indiana could have made the Finals that year. They would've lost to San Antonio, but it's still a "What If". |

I fear his career is toast. Only if he can't move on those legs anymore Getting up and down the court won't be the problem, it will be the side to side movement. If he can't get that extra speed to get his jumpshot up off screens or be able move side to side to defend he will be f***ed ACL was going take away some athleticism but Klay wasn't the most athletic anyway. The achilles tear will possibly take away that step he had and that's where the problem is Kobe, Dominique, Cousins, Billups, Rudy Gay, Wesley Matthews all tore their achilles. Kobe and Billups were out their primes when they did it. Dom made another All Star team after. Gay and Matthews have still been effective role players in the league. Cousins career has short circuited and on life support after tearing his ACL and Achilles. We don't know what John Wall and KD will be yet since neither has played since the injury |

They have $40 mill in cap now
Keep in mind, they got players they trying to get rid of in Knox, DSJ and Frank. Cap space will be used to either facilitate trades and take on a contract or get them Westbrook which would still give them cap space cause they will trade Randle who has one year left on his deal

Worst case; Klay will function as a Max contract Kyle Korver for the remainder of his career. Will he ever be the same player? Probably not, that’s to be seen, but he’ll still be a dangerous sniper.

According to Zach Lowe’s podcast Haliburton wanted to come to Sacramento to the point of telling other teams how much he wouldn’t want to play for them. That he’d sacrifice a few million dollars now because he feels it will work out so well in Sacramento.
That’s kind of mindblowing.

Betting on himself he can match or exceed that deal in free agency. He has gotten some interest around the league after a bounceback season and this is a blow to Boston if they lose him

Would have to be a sign and trade to make it happen which would benefit Boston. I can see them asking for Myles Turner and Doug McDermott. Would fill two needs for Boston
