Boston is not looking good I am very shocked a Brad Stevens coached team has looked this desperate The Sixers and Nets are leaving the Raptors and Celtics in the dust in that division right now, both currently with around the sae record as The Knicks as we heard to the Break. ... Y'know, like everyone predicted when the season started

Y'know, like everyone predicted when the season started Raptors are getting better after their horrible start so they should make the playoffs but as it stands right now, all 5 of the Atlantic division teams got a playoff spot I always forget NBA goes by best record and not who wins divisions so we somehow could have a scenario where Southeast gets no playoff teams. Can't see that happening tho. Charlotte leads the division by half a game but no way Miami doesn't get hot at some point during this season

With that talent you wouldn't bet on it lasting, but I always wonder how Jimmy Butler fairs when his team starts laying eggs.

Jimmy was out for a good while Miami last year if I remember started off slow too before they had a hot 2nd half. Miami biggest problem was letting role players go like Derrick Jones Jr and Jamison Crowder because they wanted to hold cap thinking they can make a run at Giannis next offseason They got money to spend which puts them in position to acquire someone overpaid like Westbrook or take stabs at guys like Olapido in the offseason But they overplayed their hand in hoping to get someone for the future and hurt them for this season

But they need Drsgic back. They need a scorer, but a more efficient one. Maybe Westbrook if he concentrates on only getting to the bucket, but he's too expensive. Dipo is very inefficient. They don't need Redick, as they already have shooters like Herro and Robinson. They could use someone like Lowry, but I doubt that happens. Maybe Harrison Barnes?

Lowry would be perfect for them but with Toronto creeping their way back, no way they deal him but Miami will have a shot in the offseason Westbrook isn't out of play now tho. They have signaled they are willing to move Iggy and his contract and they have Olynk expiring deal as well. Miami doesn't have any picks but you honestly don't need to trade picks for Brodie anyway outside of a 2nd round pick Problem is, if you get Westbrook you tie up the rest of your cap and hamstring yourself in the offseason but Miami was trying to get him before and with him being much cheaper then when he was leaving OKC, Riley might pull the deal

Mike Conley has had some tough luck never making an All Star game due to him being in the West his whole career

Miami is looking at DeMarcus Cousins as an option
They are also looking at players like, Bjelica as previously said, Rudy Gay and Pj Tucker. They would take a stab at Blake Griffin but only if he is bought out by Det
Miami could be looking a 2015 version Western All Star team if they can get Cousins and Griffin on the cheap. Maybe still acquire Westbrook as well

Maybe still acquire Westbrook as well They need scoring, and if possible a premium scorer. I don't get the Cousins interest. Doesn't really fit their play style. Bjelica would be fine. Gay would be nice. Griffin is injured too much to do much of anything for anybody. They need someone like Evan Fournier.

My assumption is they want Cousins in as a backup because they will use Olynk as a trade piece While Isiah Thomas is shit on defense, i'm surprised they didn't take a flyer on him since assuming he is healthy after the surgery he can get you instant offense off the bench Derrick Rose would been perfect but he wanted to go to NY

The Spurs came back last night after extended time off with 5 guys out for Covid reasons plus DeRozan out due to his father's passing away. LaMarcus Aldridge came off the bench and from the way him, Pop and Dejounte Murray were talking about it sounds like that is the plan with him going forward. I admire the way LaMarcus has handled his time in San Antonio since pretty much from day 1 it has not gone as planned.

Dragic is 34,and Herro,Bam and Duncan are still on team friendly contracts so if ever there is a time to short term for a season or two overpay for someone who can add some offense to this team then they need to go for it.

Bronny has a torn meniscus in his knee and looks to be out his sophomore season
Going to slow down his development as a player but considering who his father is, he's going to have the best medical care but a torn meniscus at 15=16 really ain't great either
