This is all Rudy Gobert's fault.

Bucs are checking in on a trade for Oladipo That's actually doable but how much of an upgrade is he over Bledose tho Plenty. Plus, Bledsoe is always injured. Wait a second... But srsly, Dipo if healthy is a much more bankable 2nd/3rd option depending on which Middleton shows up than Bled. Last two playoffs, Bled is shooting 40%/24%/74% clip averaging 14/game. Dipo, even coming off a big injury and getting swept, still put up 39%/36%/94% averaging 18. Aside from Dipo being a more natural scorer, Bled has shrunk on the big stage, and is slowing down. I'm more of a fan of Bledsoe than Dipo, but the numbers and the eye test say that Bledsoe shouldn't be counted on in crunch time.

He's going be an upgrade, i'm just thinking more so in terms of talent close to Giannis which is obviously hard to find but Dipo would be a good get On the Bucs side it also works. If they can trade Bledsoe and get rid his contract and take on the last year of Dipo, then if worst came to shove and they lost Giannis in FA, the only major contracts on hand they would have on the books would be Middleton and Lopez.

If Dipo can get you there, great. They don't have a lot of capital to get someone like Embiid or Beal or you higher end targets, so Dipo would be a great get because his best asset is the thing they need the most: scoring. They're good on D, they're great during the regular season, Giannis is a beast on the boards, they move the ball kinda well. They just don't have guys who can create their own shot or take over when Giannis is getting shut down. Victor could be that guy.

Bucks should also take a page out of the Lakers book and get someone who can handle the ball and drive the paint late in games and when Giannis is off the floor I've said before that Rose would be a perfect fit for Milwaukee but if they can't get him, maybe they can get Rondo If they can only pull 2 out of those 3, they are in great position to make noise more than they have last two years. All 3 of those guys are injury prone but the cost to get them is a lot less and more affordable since a high end option like Beal is outside their reach. Only way they can get Beal is if they would take on Wall contract

Anybody that can generate offense outside of Giannis. DiVincenzo is solid but will probably be a victim of the push to contend.

Ideally they can get their hands on Melo but it seems like Portland is his preferred destination Bertans will be out their range. They need inexpensive talent that can contribute but also can be had on the cheap. Joe Harris can be gotten at the mid level. Justin holiday, Shabazz Napier, Anthony Tolliver etc. those guys can be had Hell, even thinking outside the box and taking chances may bear fruit. Joe Johnson seems like he still has legs for one more nba run. Isiah Thomas had his hip fixed and is begging teams for a chance. Those are guys they can sign as a 14th or 15th man and be rewarded

They would probably have to make a corresponding move though. Harris would be a coup for them, he's basically a better shooting Matthews. Harris is overdue for a breakout. Napier would be nice as well.

Knicks finally going to do something smart
They are making it known they will take undesirable contracts for draft picks. Considering the cap could be f***ed this year and teams hitting that threshold they didn't want to, it is a smart play by them

So they can afford the cap hits a lot better than most.

Hell, up until recently they were bad as a team and paying tax off the cap At least now they can hit close to the cap and actually get something for it. For reference sake Clippers got a first for Mo Harkless, Hawks got two first round picks for Crabbe, Memphis got a pick or two foe Iggy Knicks have been attached to names like CP3 and Westbrook but CP3 still has value unless OKC wants young players which the Knicks are offering Frank and Knox and Houston not trying get rid of Westbrook for a salary dump. Expect Philly to kick the tires on trying move Al.

Stoudemire's on the coaching staff, too? Having a mini-Phoenix reunion in Brooklyn.
