So my son had an xbox one x that stopped working, looks like the HDMI chip is jacked, think it's worth it to have it fixed? Sounds like something that can be fixed by a third party group. More than likely your Xbox One X is out of warranty, but I would contact Microsoft first to get a claim check and get an estimate to see how much a repair would be. It'll likely be around $150-200, but you would likely get a service plan that protects you in case of future damage for a period of time. Place told me 130 to replace the chip, solder, thermal paste etc, I felt that was a pretty good deal to get a 500 dollar console I didn't purchase. |

Well, I certainly intend to get the new Xbox. I do need to trade in my current one though. What with the lockdown and limited supply I'm probably looking at January, which is a shame. I'll pop into GAME when the lockdown is over and see what the situation is. Slap down a deposit on one, maybe.

Anyone else got a Series X console? I just obtained one but haven't plugged it in yet.
How should it sit? Because most of the photos of the console put it vertical, but I've never been comfortable with a CD-drive console with the CD spinning like that. I've always sat my CD consoles flat. Is that ok? Or is that somehow less safe with this particular console?

Or is that somehow less safe with this particular console? I have mine vertical but I have also seen it horizontal and have heard of no problems with it. I think you are find placing it horizontal. I think just ensuring you have enough space for heat ventilation is the most important thing. The one side that kind of looks like a net (top if placing vertically) can get hot at times. I've enjoyed the system so far. The only disappointing thing for me is I planned on having Cyberpunk to play, but with all the issues, I just can't pull the trigger on buying it. I've been playing Forza Horizon 4 and actually enjoying it even though I'm not really a "car game guy". |

It’s cool this got bumped because, as of today, you can now play the entire original saga of Yakuza on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S or on PC with the inclusion of the Remastered trilogy.
It’s also all on Steam if you’re not an Xbox owner or pass holder.

After ten years of having a Gold membership I switched to Game Pass. I was pretty skeptical about the value for money based on how little I play, but man, I'll probably not have to buy another game this year. It’s cool this got bumped because, as of today, you can now play the entire original saga of Yakuza on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S or on PC with the inclusion of the Remastered trilogy. This played a pretty big role in my decision to get Game Pass. My son has been playing a lot of Need for Speed at home, so seeing three or four of those available as well as the entire OG Yakuza saga made it a no brainer for me. |

So...I just pulled the trigger on a One X because I'm pretty much done trying to fight scalpers and bots to get a PS5. I haven't been an Xbox Guy since the 360 era, been a PlayStation user since the launch of PS4, so this will be interesting. The reason I decided to even get an older console instead of waiting for a new one is because my PS4 Pro stopped working a few months back, so I'm desperate to play games again and figured I might as well try something different. Game Pass may have been a major part in that as well.  It should be arriving within the next few days. |

Almost too much choice if you are looking at Gamepass for the first time. EA play comes with Ultimate, which I use alot on my PC.

When is Madden '21 going to be on EA Play? Last year, Madden '20 was on right before the Super Bowl.
