Bret does not miss a chance to shit on Goldberg and I don't blame him
If you say Goldberg has no charisma then idk what the f*** your scale is because that's how that man got over due to his insane charisma
But yeah, the biggest thing with Goldberg is he's a meathead. For as much as Bret takes this seriously, Goldberg also does as well but in a dangerous sense. Bret wanted the matches to look real while taking care of you while Goldberg fought like this was real and he ended up hurting people

Not one mention yet of the part in the article where it says Goldberg injured “Haiku”? No one on this forum has love for the master of the 5-7-5?!

Eh, Bret said he never gave anyone a concussion but Bad News Brown said he gave him one.
I was also under the assumption that Bret had a prior concussion not too long before the one he got from Goldberg.

Yeah, Bad News does say Bret hurt him but they had some heat dating back to Stampede and Bad News’ antics there that hurt the territory.

Hot damn, still to this day if I had to pick a bodyguard I'd choose Stone Cold or Goldberg! One memory I can never forget was just when I was getting into wrestling, I was a kid at a Spencer’s or KB toys or something, and a mom was trying to decide between a poster of Stone Cold Steve Austin & Goldberg and I’ll never forget the 20-something hippyish employee going “they’re basically the same thing”. My fat ass kid self did a double take. Anyway, brets right bout the safe thing. I mean, Jesus Goldberg isn’t even safe with himself lol. But I still like the big lug. Pretty crazy we’re getting into 2021 and probably not done with the guy wrestling.

So has Austin. > f***ing cinema 'em up and give late 90's total package bomb in Stone Cold vs. Goldberg to me. #NOW!

I love Bret Hart's anecdotes about Goldberg cause they're always like "nice guy but also he nearly f***ing killed me"

Goldberg did in less than a year what it took Bret 8 years to do, win the HW title for a major promotion. Obviously Bret deserved it more but Goldberg was the man for the time. I think there's a lot of jealousy there and probably was at the time. Bret harbors more ill will the for the guy who ended his career than the guys who decided to do the stunt that killed his brother.

It was before my time bu I completely believe Goldeberg was the worst wrestler to be popular,no charisma or in-ring skills, just a bundle of muscles that was presented very well the only things Goldberg had going for him was a great look and a good amount of charisma - and I never liked him

I’m a much bigger fan of Goldberg than i am of Bret, so we’re out there! haha.
When i was a kid Bret bored the hell out of me. I really really didn’t care about work rate.

I'd say I like Bret, but I also agree with Scott Hall's call of Bret being a huge mark for himself. It's weird to see Bret's attitude change throughout the years. Of course, after the screwjob, Owen's Death, and WCW ruining his career Bret was very anti-Vince. But Bret wanted control over his legacy, so he made up with Vince and the WWE. After he came back to WWE, he made up with Shawn and if you watch interviews with him now he seems to go after Hunter a lot. Hunter apprentely being the first guy to say "screw him" when Bret wouldn't job to Shawn. With WCW, he goes after Bischoff and Goldberg. Bischoff because of the failures with booking Bret and Goldberg being a clumsy oaf and ending his career.

Goldberg definitely has charisma, it was his charisma and presentation that made him a huge star. Him being a shitty wrestler wouldn't be a problem if it was in the Titus O'Neil kind of way, but when you're a danger to yourself and others... yeah, I don't blame Bret or anyone else for calling him out on it.

Goldberg had the look, and the intensity of a big star, but when your in-ring style legitimately leads to so many people including yourself getting hurt on a regular basis, you need to be called out on it before someone ends up dead or crippled.
I don't blame Bret for being angry with Goldberg after all these years.
As far as Owen goes... I can't speak for Bret, I never met the guy. I don't know how he feels, but for all I know he feels he has to make nice with Vince in order to keep him from being buried like other wrestlers who refused to tow the company line.

Goldberg's matches were all the same cookie cutter "xx moves of doom" stuff that Cena was later saddled with by the IWC. while I'm a huge Bret fanboy, this post amuses me because 5 Moves of Doom was originally coined FOR Bret.

I appreciate that Bret alludes that a gorilla wouldn't have a better work rate than Goldberg. I mean, gorillas are pretty smart. I'm sure you could teach it an arm drag or something. That Gorilla knows a difference between a wristwatch and a wrist lock!
