Mistakes happen in the ring. Did Bret forget that his late brother Owen shortened and almost ended Austin's career. Nah, many wrestlers have injured guys by making a mistake in the ring. Goldberg was one of the most, if not the most, incompetent workers in terms of safety on the big stage the last 30 years. The criticism isn't unwarranted. And I liked Goldberg, but the truth is the truth. Yea, mistakes happen but Goldberg to quote a line from Chappelle Show, was a habitual line stepper He was willing to learn early but the problem is his mindset was I have to make this shit look real. Everything had to be 100 percent effort and with the toxic nature of WCW he got into that position and wanted to protect himself cause he had too.

Even if it was his only mistake, you're gonna tell Bret he can't be mad about it? "You ended my livelihood but hey, at least you never made other mistakes"
Like....wut? lol

"You ended my livelihood but hey, at least you never made other mistakes" Like....wut? lol And with Goldberg you can't call that mistakes because as I said that's his mindset. You didn't slow down and you caused mishaps and injuries that were avoidable The thing with Goldberg was that there wasn't a ton of people who could man handle him and tell him to slow down and you already had people in his ear. Let's look at Sheamus. He's a bruiser and works stiff. Him and Big Show was having a match and Sheamus was a little too snug and he told him slow down. He kept 100 miles an hour and eventually Show said he grabbed and put some force into him in slowing down and Sheamus got the picture No one could do that to Goldberg nor was anyone willing to. Look at the debacle between him and Regal and how that shit was handled because of miscommunicatin between the back and wrestlers. Both got diff stories to it and neither like each other

Goldberg is living proof that for all of their shortcomings, SOMEBODY in WCW was a booking genius, because they managed to get a green as grass Bill Goldberg over. REALLY over.
And I don't hate the guy. I hate that he ended Bret Hart's career. In a different world, Bill Goldberg spends some time in Japan and learns how to work a hard hitting style without killing anyone.
Some people just really excel at 5 minute car crashes where you beat the hell out of each other. That's Bill Goldberg.

Even if it was his only mistake, you're gonna tell Bret he can't be mad about it? "You ended my livelihood but hey, at least you never made other mistakes" Like....wut? lol His anger towards Goldberg would be acceptable if he didn't do business with the owner of a company in which his brother died because of a skit. I get it, that guy owns his footage and Goldberg does not. He will go to work for that individual time after time despite the brother's death as long as he, Bret, is acknowledged as a legend and still can get access to the database of his matches. It sucks Goldberg ended his career. As others have suggested he is best for short matches but Bret needs to get things in perspective. Hate the guy who drove your brother to a skit that killed him. And as for Regal, I am so happy he's turned his life around and became a trainer complete opposite as Hugh Morris but he was in an awful place in 1997 and that match was totally his fault. Edit: I'm actually surprised Hugh Morris didn't totally try to F with Goldberg's first TV match. I guess he kept his anger bottled inside for Luke Gallows and Melissa Coates.
