I didn't necessarily hate the shorty G gimmick but I didn't like it either. But what I did like was how he got rid of the moniker. Basically saying that it was just corporate shilling and that he was done being this lame spokesman. So far, good start for Chad "long arm" Gable

If they just made him a full on heel and gave him a Bo Dallas-esque motivational speaker gimmick, it would've been gold. Instead they kept having him flip flop back and forth between being heel and face for some reason.

About bloody time they dropped that dumbass name for Chad.  I would've been okay if it was just a case of Baron Corbin calling him ''Shorty G'' constantly during their feud as part of his heel stuff but not for Chad to call himself that.

Anyway, needless to say I was pleased when it was dropped officially.

I'm not a Corbin fan at all, but his work with Gable in the King of the Ring tournament was pretty damn good and got both guys (especially Gable) more over before they had their momentum ruined by being given the garbage Shorty G and King characters.

I've loved Shorty ever since that KOTR tournament. I did not watch much his matches when he was in NXT. Kinda disappointed WWE never utilized the hilarity of his Shorty G gimmick: tag run and feud with Crews, Little People's Court, being more vicious exploder minion for Baron Corbin, etc. > but now there's some hope again that they'll use him right. Love his wrestling style, maybe he'll get actual semi lengthy matches in the future now that he showed us all how friggin' big his dick is!
