We've seen threads about random wrestler/manager pairings. Sometimes even a wrestler with a valet kind of seems odd, whether it's just some guy accompanying the wrestler or an attractive woman walking to the ring with someone and the pairing makes little sense. But what about tag teams? Sure, sometimes you'll have some "odd couple" tag teams that actually work. For example, The Rock and Mankind, or even Booker T and Goldust. But sometimes you'll have a team thrown together for who-knows-what-reason. I can never get over D'Lo Brown and Test being paired for one night at Wrestlemania XV. That was a weird pairing if I ever saw one.
But then again, you have some random pairings that can make sense or work (as noted with Booker T & Goldust, as well as The Rock & Sock Connection). I remember that Rico and Charlie Haas were a tag team. The only thing that made sense about that team was that Miss Jackie was Rico's valet and then she started being the valet for Charlie Haas (Add to the fact that those two were together in real life).
What are your picks?

Scotty Too Hotty and Albert aka the Hip Hop Hippo, collectively known as the Zoo Crew. Because everyone knows people go to the Zoo for the fascinating Worm exhibits. They were horrible in every way imaginable. I could not wait until Albert inevitably turned on Scotty and ended the pain.

They had nothing in common besides tattoos and tiny, cute significant others.

Now they're known as Team, Can We PLEASE Go Back To NXT?! Without Googling it I have no idea what either of these guys is currently doing on the main roster. Last I heard via these boards, Ricochet was teeming with Cedric and Aleister was still stuck in his dark Room. I assume that means today these 2 are tearing it up on WWE Main Event. Which if the last few months is any indication means they're qualified to main event literally any other companies A-show every week.

Cedric joined The Hurt Business, Crews was moved back to Smackdown, and I haven't seen Ricochet since before the draft. Figured he would have caught another beatdown from The Hurt Business, or Retribution/The Fiend this week. Black turned heel on Raw against Owens recently, yet lost to him every time. Both were drafted to Smackdown, but this feud appears to be finished because Black wasn't on this week's episode.

They had a battle royal on the pre-show where the last 2 remaining participants would challenge for the tag belts on the main show. Could have been literally any 2 guys from the battle royal. Did they really not have any established tag teams at the time? Edge and Christian helped hang Bossman after the HIAC match. *shrug*

As if Duggan being around in 2007 wasn't weird enough on its own.

Their's a Coliseum Video exclusive of Hulk Hogan and Koko B. Ware teaming up against Honky Tonk Man and Kamala. The face team isn't so strange as it comes off as your typical Hogan-and-pal combo, but an Elvis Impersonator and Ugandan Savage? How much more random can you get?

Looking over the tag title history over the last twenty years. So many champions I don’t remember or completely forgot about. WWE went to the world title program needs to go another month so they should win the tag belts well way too many times.
Seriously Braun and Seth? I completely forgot about and that was a year ago.
Also mid carders have nothing to do? Tag team them up! I also forgot Gable & Roode were a team but also won the tag titles.

I'm about to win this shit:
Rico and Rikishi. They even held the tag titles (beat Billy & Chuck) for two weeks.

Sounds like it could have been awesome but I seriously doubt it was. Are their matches anything I should seek out?

I’m guessing the logic was one guy liked showing his butt and the other (it was implied) liked guys butts? Lol who knows I rewatched all of this earlier this year when I was rewatching the 1st 6 months of SD 2002. Some kind of way Rikishi and Rico were forced to become tag partners and defeated Billy and Chuck on PPV. Rico was secretly happy to be a tag champ but had to pretend that he wasn't in front of Billy and Chuck. Billy and Chuck threatened to fire Rico as their stylist if they didn't get the belts back so Rico turned on Rikishi, even though they were never friends, on an episode of SD and that was pretty much the end of this stupid, pointless storyline. Have I mentioned I hate everything ever involving Billy and Chuck? Or anything WWE has ever done solely because Vince thinks gay jokes are hilarious. It came as no surprise when Bruce Prichard revealed on STWW that "Vince loved Billy and Chuck." Of course Vince did.

All the T&A ring gear, just with a damn hat.

There were the Legion of Doom, DOA, Too Much, The Acolytes, and the Hardy Boyz (when they were jobbers). The rest were random picks.

Has anybody, single or team ever gone from Wrestlemania pre-show to stealing the entire Wrestlemania event in the course of one year like the Hardy's did in 99 to 2000? Also the entire concept is a very WWF/E decision. We have qualified tag teams that can wrestle for the belts at the biggest show of the year, but nah, everybody knows random mid carder's chasing the tag belts is way better.
