Hi friends.
First, my name is Chris, my screenname is T-Bone (clearly). This is a hard topic to go ahead and write, but it is important I do so nonetheless.
On the morning of Sept 26th, Jagilki passed away.
Some of you may have been aware of his health struggles. Four or five years ago Jag had serious complications with his diabetes, which resulted in a lengthy hospital stay and the amputation of one of his feet. This year he had started dialysis and was trying to get healthy enough for a kidney transplant.
So I new Jag for over a decade for the same reasons many of you know him, our shared love of wrestling. I met him in e-fedding, which if you don't know is a game in which you write stories, or RPs, about wrestling. The e-fedding stopped years ago, but we still kept our community together centered on wrestling, most recently with a discord server the last few years to accompany our forum. For those of us in that server, myself included, we talked to Jag every day. (and before discord it was some other chatroom thing, so basically every day for a decade)
I had to come here and let the FAN community know, because this community was so important to Jag. While I and our other friends never made it over here, we knew of FAN as Jag talked about it frequently. He would share threads with us, memes, and other happenings happening here. Jag took pride in becoming a Global Mod for this community. As morbid as this is going to sound, he was logged onto FAN shortly before his passing if you were to check his profile. This community was a large part of his life. They even name dropped his online friends at his church service.
What we did, is we created a channel on our Discord server to leave messages for Jag. His cousin Tony is a member there and did relay our messages to the family. I won't post a link to the Discord in this thread. After chatting with the mods we decided this thread will be left up if anyone wants to leave comments, and I will alert his cousin after a time to the comments of this thread. I will also link this thread in that discord. (if you decide you want an invite to post in the discord directly, you can PM me)
I also have his address if y'all decide you want to send his family something. We had talked about flowers but we weren't able to get something together before the funeral as his family didn't alert us until a few days later.
I know this is a hard topic to read, and I am very sorry I was not able to alert the community sooner. I had started the process almost immediately, but I had a vacation scheduled right after Jag passed and my forum account wasn't approved until sometime during my vacation. So I hope you can forgive me for my tardiness. When I spoke to the Mods they all expressed condolences for my loss, and I do appreciate all that. I've had a month to process, and you all will be learning this for the first time. This thread is for the FAN community though, this is your loss too.
I'm gonna put the announcements and funeral service in this thread in the next post behind spoilers.
Thank you everyone.
