I’ve been watching old raws and it’s obvious now they were in very small venues like high school gyms but at the time did it seem like they were in bigger arenas to anyone else

WWF had been in so much bigger buildings for Superstars and Challenge shows in the 80’s and early 90’s so these buildings seemed extra tiny to me.As a kid I just figured wrestling wasn’t popular as nobody I knew watched it.

I think because WWF finally went prime time that they just wanted a more intimate setting for their wrestling shows and it was then television revenue started to become a revenue generator for the company as oppose to gate revenue. Unlike Superstars Raw actually features their high card guys wrestle each other as oppose their mid card or high card guys wrestling jobbers. It was also a better time slot to promote angles and PPVs for them.

I could watch those New Generation shows all day.
My favorite era of wrestling and the first shows I ever seen.
I didn't care if the ratings were shit. I loved it.

Even in the down years..... the WWFs production values made it seem like the big leagues compared to WCW and others.

From 1992-1997, the company has suffered from a financial point of view. And yeah, it's true that the year 1995 is considered to be the worst for the World Wrestling Federation.

The first Nitro set was like an mega event, as for Raw during its early titantron & ramp days, it consisted of an cheap freak sideshow you usually see at a carnival.
