I like to think no one on the SD team broke up Sheamus' pin on Seth because they wanted Seth gone.

At the end of the day, even if Fox pays millions and millions of dollars to make SD the A show, Vince will still treat SD like it's WCW and Raw like it's the only brand that's really "his"

I'm trying to think of more entertaining reasons for Survivor Series matches besides brand supremacy.
Legends vs. Current Stars?
Tag Teams vs. Tag Teams?
Big Guys vs. Cruiserweights? Speed vs. power.
So many other things that could be more interesting than "brand supremacy".

Look at it this way, if Smackdown broke up the pin on Seth he was probably just gonna do the same thing again later so get him out before it really costs you the match.
