So we are finally hitting that stretch where they are rebooting things from the 90's More childhood shit, i'm down I kind of see it as more “Well, COVID’s f***ed up a lot of live action stuff, what could we do new seasons of that aren’t going to be as costly but also appeal to those that might want to watch our service/network? Cartoons? You’re magnificent bastard!” Like I really doubt we’d be talking about Tiny Toons at all if it wasn’t for COVID. Animaniacs was into production pre-COVID so probably that but not that or Clone High and others. also we've been getting 90's rebooted stuff for a while. I mean Jurassic World 3 is in production... |

Eh, those are technically follow ups to the original Jurassic Park. This is what I mean when I say I hate the word reboot. No offense to you, Plat, but it’s put in front of stuff to get more hits even when the thing’s not actually rebooting. Hell, the Animaniacs trailer has the word reboot when it’s clearly not a reboot at all. |

The only reason to be sad about Elmyra being left out of a revival is that Cree Summer won't be involved.
Actually, I amend that statement - the other reason would be that this probably means many more characters (and their voice actors) will not be involved.

It's possible Spielberg blames Elmyra for effectively ending his animation dynasty with that last season of Pinky and the Brain. She may have been...dare I say...'Scrappied?

The dynasty was always in danger when the ATT/Time Warner merger happened and Jamie Kellner took over. Yes, the same Jamie Kellner who is partly responsible for WCW's death. When the Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain theme says "It's what the network wants, why bother to complain" it's mostly a shot at Kellner who killed Animaniacs and retooled Pinky and the Brain. |

I hated Elmyra and I can listen to Cree Summer's voice in a lot of other shows, so good.

I think a great place for an Elmyra comeback, is to appear on an episode of Teen Titans Go!, imagine her capturing Beast Boy when he is in animal form, or Raven turns them all into animals, and they are captured by Elmyra. The only comeback Elmyra should have is a segment that has her repeatedly stepping on landmines or safes dropping on her. |
