Gio Urshela of the Yankees is out today due to side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine. Surprised he's the only one so far.
I'm anticipating more guys doing that, but given my own experiences I won't be shocked if a lot of guys feel fine the next day, but just don't quite play up to their usual standards - like, for me, the side effects were some general aches and mild exhaustion, and I could see a lot of guys figuring "eh, I can play through that" and then people asking where that 0-4 with three Ks night came from.

If Knebel consistently shows up like that I dunno how you keep him away from the closer role. Graterol when he gets back is obviously groomed for it and Treinen too, but Jansen is not someone I want on consecutive days or pressure situations anymore.

I would really like to hear MLB's replay officials justify not overturning that safe call as an "out" in yesterday's Braves-Phillies game. Only Major League Baseball can take something like replay and make it feel antiquated and controversial. No wonder why the sport is bleeding away young fans.
