Manfred and the MLB really showing they are a 4th rate operation. Turner deserved a long suspension. Manfred is really giving guys who follow the rules a lot of reason to break them when really pivotal rules have been broken with literally no punishment to players whatsoever.

Minor league news in the manfred vs milb war, the Trenton Thunder and Staten Island Yankees are have been killed off. The Yankees new AA team will be the Somerset Patriots the Hudson Valley Renegades will be the new hi A team. Tampa drops to low A with the rest of the FSL.

I've been to a few Thunder games and I've had a fun time. It's a great way to see some future (or rehabbing) Major Leaguers. Arm&Hammer Park is also a gorgeous stadium, especially for the minor leagues. Hope the team finds another MLB affiliate. The batdogs deserve new friends to run around.
That said, I'm surprised the Yankees are going with an independent league team in the Somerset Patriots to be their new AA affiliate. It's closer to me than Trenton was, so it is a more convenient way to see minor league baseball for me.

Is there a worse commissioner in sports? Smh The man essentially called the Commissioner's Trophy a hunk of metal. So no.

Somerset has told Trenton that they could move to the Atlantic League (presumably without any fees), but the ownership of the Thunder are royally pissed. It's gonna be bloody.

Glad Hudson Valley is full season but now I have to root for a Yankee team for the first time ever.

It's difficult at this point to say whether Justin Turner's actions after Game 6 caused these positive tests, or whether these positive tests were part and parcel with what infected Turner in the first place, as Yahoo's report states: "It is unclear if the nine included third baseman Justin Turner." But what's undeniable is that Major League Baseball totally got out ahead of their skis in absolving Turner of any guilt for his actions after the World Series concluded, basically saying, "Look, guys, he told us he was REALLY sorry. What more do you want us to do?" If contact tracing determines that an outbreak within the Dodgers organization and family members is directly attributable to Turner's actions following the game, it's unconscionable that MLB cleared him of any wrongdoing or punishment, when the entire season hung inches from a cliff for three months because of the irresponsible actions of a handful of players.

Manfred reasoning was well Turner is really sorry and then the fact his teammates gave him the okay to be on the field is supposed to make it better

The Athletic is reporting that new White Sox manager Tony La Russa was charged with driving under the influence on Oct. 28 - one day before he was hired as manager of the White Sox - and that the organization knew of his arrest before naming him manager.

La Russa was apparently purely a Jerry Reinsdorf move, as the front office was seemingly not very happy about the hire. So I doubt something like a DUI would dissuade him.

If I was a Mets fan, I'd be really optimistic about the future after Steve Cohen's and Sandy Alderson's presser today.
