Practically everyone is going to be cheering for the Braves, and I'm perfectly fine with that.
But sometimes, you don't get the happy ending. I've accepted that this is Carlos Correa's final year in Houston and that our window of success is about over. This will probably be our final World Series appearance in years, if not decades, so let's win another title that everyone will accuse was gotten through illicit means until the end of time.

On the other hand, I remember the Braves making the World Series every other year and not being able to get it done besides 1995, so I'm certain Braves fans want to get that opportunity whenever. More than happy for you guys. Though I still think the funniest example of a team being the "bad guys" was the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001. Remember when they let America down by winning when everyone had coronated the Yankees as the champions because of 9/11?

Idk how anyone can count out Atlanta here. They beat the Dodgers. On the surface that sounds shallow, but come on.

Dodgers were also beat to shit and David Roberts put his starting rotation in a blender trying to navigate their two series’. Had they beaten a 100% Dodgers? Sure, but this wasn’t that.

I think it's a relatively even match-up. The Stros have a great line-up outside of Maldonado, but people forget how bad the Sox were beating on their pitching until the last 2 games.

I'm giving Atlanta the edge in the World Series, largely based on their starting pitching. They have five legitimate starting pitchers, so they won't have to play a bullpen game at any point in the series, whereas Houston - especially if Lance McCullers Jr. is out - will have to play a bullpen game at least any time Zack Greinke starts.

Braves have a shot if they do one thing.... ![](https://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/31749.png&w=350&h=254) LEAVE THIS MAN OUT OF THE ROTATION UNTIL HE FIGURES OUT HOW TO THROW THE DAMN BALL.

Astros are never winning another world series. This is hilarious.

Hate seeing Morton get hurt like that. He was really dealing too before the injury.

Hate seeing Morton get hurt like that. He was really dealing too before the injury. Three innings of shutout baseball on a broken freakin’ leg.

Lesson here seems to be don't play the Avengers theme while introducing your team (Nationals also did it at game 3 in 2019, then lost that game)

Hate seeing Morton get hurt like that. He was really dealing too before the injury. Gonna affect the series with Atlanta down an ace pitcher. However, they still have the advantage in that department, especially in the bullpen. Seeing that leg twist after he struck out Altuve was gruesome.

Just gotta hope your starter doesn't get bounced around like Valdez did.

Well, Houston won a World Series more recently than Atlanta, so I'm rooting for the Braves.
