My big takeaway is this is the first time I've seen what Johnny apparently looks like lol They should've just used the drawing. Middle finger and all.

$100? And some wonder why the AAA gaming industry is in literal freefall.

I love Jawnny and the boys but no way in hell is that a fair price.
Gonna wait for some crazy discount.

$100? And some wonder why the AAA gaming industry is in literal freefall. They're doing everything they can to condition us that when the next generation comes out there are going to be no discs, no resell market etc etc so get use to paying full price for games 3 years after they release, f***in Ragnarok is still a 70 dollar game. I picked up this game for 16 dollars...issue though is the season price passes suck.. Season 1 29.99 Season 2 24.99 Season 3 16.99 Season 4 19.99 So if I add all those together... 91.96 So even buying the base game at 16 I'm over 100 dollars...

And this is like the 4th deluxe edition they've brought out as well though they've taken all the others down.

So, Evil Uno still isn’t in the game but those dudes are? And DLC packs cost THAT much? I guess I’m just never gonna buy this. Maybe I’m too poor lol

I do have to wonder how much AEW screwed themselves doing business with THQ Nordic, who honestly has been having issues for years now.

What are they even doing anymore? Just end every project and start fresh.

An NFT game that looks like a shitty knockoff of Moral Orel, just what they need to turn their gaming division's optics around.

Kenny and Evil Uno are doing a great job at AEW games. Hopefully they can some how incorporate crypto and Global Force Gold investments into their next nft game.

Hopping on the NFT Train in 2024 feels like hitching your wagon to a broken down car in the desert, idk if Warner really pushed for it or what but yeesh

Jumping onto NFT's now? Like 2-3 years after they crashed? When even at their peak they were basically derided by the masses as f***ing stupid? Who the hell is making the decisions for this company's gaming division? Yeah, I'm sure the game was started back when NFT's were the hot new thing but that doesn't mean that you have to release it after the main component is worthless. Also if they are supposed to be figures they failed... and the WWE beat them to the punch with the figure characters in 2k24 that actually look like action figures... So, Evil Uno still isn’t in the game but those dudes are? And DLC packs cost THAT much? I guess I’m just never gonna buy this. Maybe I’m too poor lol You really aren't missing much not picking it up. My friend was talking like AEW should have just made a non wrestling story based game since any wrestling game would be compared unfavorably to the 2k series rightly or wrongly. I thought he was crazy but... it's a better idea than an NFT based mobile game.

I'd say Fight Forever feels like a pretty good like $20 game that they're instead charging a ludicrous amount of money for. Like, the engine while kind of basic and outdated in a number of ways can lead to goofy fun and there is some clear effort to incorporate stuff from the actual product and make the characters feel unique, it's just... It's so cheap and slapdash and unfocused and lacking depth. There's a workable game there but it feels like a pretty decent old Xbox Live Arcade game someone released in 2023 and charged $100+ for.
It really is not helped by how the one thing it really does clearly do better than the 2K games, hardcore matches, is something 2K obviously recognized and decided to cut off at the pass given how after years of completely ignoring adding new weapons and hardcore stuff and the unsatisfying blood physics 2K24 suddenly put in a ton of attention to detail to that stuff.

There's so much shit in Fight Forever where they clearly were unfocused on what they wanted. Did they want an arcadey pick up and play game or a closer wrestling sim... the answer is yes. Did they want a realistic style or more cartoony graphics style... again yes. It's a game made of half measures, and a lot of things that are in the game like why bother? like why is Caw mode in the game if you can't do basic shit like wear an entrance jacket and a singlet? Which is like one of the most generic first indy outfits...

My guess is Tony is not a gamer so he's not willing to throw the same level of money at it.
