I wouldn't mind a game covering the First Contact War, though I suppose it would limit the variety in squad members. I don’t know what they could do. It’s just like the ending of 3; it’s not going to be perfect in every way imaginable so it won’t stand up. Honestly the best thing to do is not do anything and focus all the effort on another project. The idea behind Andromeda makes sense... as it leaves everyone's choices to work without having to really try and work around it.

Hopefully now we can actually see that version of Hamlet with an all Elcor cast.

The Trilogy is a nearly impossible act to follow, but there's so much potential in that universe leaving it now would be a real shame. I applaud them for trying something different with Andromeda, at least, but I want to see more of the planets and cultures in the local galaxy.

I played a bunch of 2 & 3 back in the day. Never beat either of them though. Look forward to this!

Bioware also did mention a new game is in the works, besides the update...
so we'll see what they do.

When I saw the news my instant feeling was dread. Mass Effect and Dragon Age are my favourite game series and it really feels like Bioware is shuffling towards the grave.

Some game companies simply have their place in time, and once that time is up that's it. For Bioware that time was the 6th, and 7th generations.

Holy shit, are they actually teasing a proper sequel to the trilogy? Between this and the Star Wars and Marvel announcements...

Did Shepard get Captain America’d in the snow?

Did Shepard get Captain America’d in the snow? Technically, yes. When the first Normandy goes down it's on an icey planet, but by the time Liara gets there the Shadow Broker has recovered Shep's body to sell it to the Collectors. This doesn't appear to be a telling of that story. From the crow's feet around Liara's eyes, I'm guessing it may be set later in her life.

With all the hate Bioware got online by some people, it felt inevitable they would resurrect the Shepard story to get back in the good graces of fans(if in fact it is Shepard). I’d personally prefer a continuation of Andromeda, but that never seemed likely with the negative feedback on that. Even so, more Mass Effect is very exciting and hopefully they can pull off something really good.

Like maybe melding whatever the next Andromeda stories were gonna be into a new Milky Way story.

Unless they’ll find some way to jump back and forth between the two galaxies that doesn’t take 600 years. Listening to the trailer the first time my mind immediately jumped to a prequel about First Contact. I’m glad we didn’t go that direction.

It’s one of my favorite games ever. I just figured they’d have to do something like Shepard being frozen in time if they wanted to bring Shepard back. This trailer has a lot of signs referencing the destroy ending.

Honestly, the trailer seemed more like a mission statement than an actual trailer.
