I suppose I should get around to watching Series 12, then. I watched the premiere and then just...well, more or less forgot about it. Same here. I watched the first 2 episodes and never finished it

"Spyfall", "Fugitive of the Judoon", "The Haunting of Vila Diodati", "Ascension of the Cybermen", and "The Timeless Children" are the major episodes of series 12, everything else is filler.

Looks like the BBC's New Year Day schedule confirms the Doctor Who special is 75 minutes

Now I'm afraid of them doing an ill conceived BLM analogy.

Did a search, couldn't find a more appropriate thread for this: for American Doctor Who fans, check your local Dollar Tree stores. I found Series 8, Part 1 on DVD there for a dollar.

According to TV Guide magazine, the first thing filmed under Covid guidelines was a 'bonus' scene shot for the NYD special

Well that was alright. Not mind-blowing but fairly good. As a direct sequel to last year's special it works well enough.
I'm guessing the "bonus scene" mentioned above was the bit with John Bishop. It's looks like he might be a regular next series.

brilliantly AND beautifully written, and a lovely end for graham and ryan ... yasmin is the interesting one, she's done an almost 180 and now obsessed, which could provide some interesting conversations with the doc
also some grit in my eye at the end
THEN THEY BLOODY SHOW THAT?!?!?
get away with you ...
still want dalek cann in the tardis ... i won't stop with this until it happens!

{Spoiler}Okay, one thing I didn't like was that they left the door open for Chris Noth to come back. Nothing against him but I hate the character. He's just a stereotypical evil businessman. I made to comparison before with how they wrote Thomas Edison but it really is night and day.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Between Robertson's successful game of bluff with both sides and knighthood, as well as Maxwell Lord's hallmark father and son moment in WW 84, it seems a lot of Trump expys are getting happy endings... Definitely not a bad episode, there's some incredible visuals here, a brilliant twist with the TARDIS that tied up a nagging plot detail, i wish Bradley had more to do, he didn't have much of a final conversation with the Doc, but at least the ol' 'shipper in me got something out of what they did get towards the end. Bishop steps up to the plate next series...I've seen the usual complaints, but the likes of Piper, Tate and Walsh have proven themselves in the past.

So on twitter I suggested that Irish actor Aisling Bea (been in a few things , most notably playing Paul Rudd’s character’s wife in Netflix’s Living With Myself) should become the next Doctor... and this happened :

I hope she sticks around across the eventual changes in showrunners. We haven't had a doctor in the NuWho era who has. I'd also like to see Armando Iannucci or Phoebe Waller-Bridge take over as showrunner.
