Well the Baseball Hall of Fame has just announced it's ballot for this year. For the last few years we held our own ballot and once again it's time to have our say.
Last year the FAN voters lived up to it's reputation as a tough voting body as Derek Jeter was the only player to pass the 70% threshold for induction. Will they be as tough this year?
Unlike the actual Hall of Fame vote a player only needs 70% of all votes for induction. All other rules remain the same as the rules for the BBWAA. You can vote for up to 10 of the players listed here. If for some reason you don't think any of the players are worthy then there is a blank ballot option but if you click it you can't vote for anybody else.
Voting will close and the winners will be announced on Jan 1, 2021 a couple of weeks before the Hall of Fame announces it's results. Have fun and good luck to all the nominees.

I will only vote for Barry Lamar Bonds until he gets in. Any HoF is a sham without him, and the line begins after him.

Oops I just realized that I forgot to include the blank ballot option. Since I don't want to erase anyone's votes if you want to turn in a blank ballot just send me a Personal Message and I'll put one down for you. Remember if you send in a blank ballot you can't vote for anybody on this list.

I'm pretty liberal with my HOF votes. It irritates me how closed off the writers are and I think it sums them up perfectly decades ago when Willie Mays was up for his first ballot and 20 some odd writers left him off their ballot. Another sportswriter when asked about it said something to the effect of that if Jesus Christ were on the ballot some of these writers would hold it against him that he dropped the cross three times.
My ballot starts with Bonds. I don't really care that much about PEDs since it has become apparent that a lot of people were on them at the time. He was a HOF'er before he started juicing and I don't know if we will ever see someone as feared as he was as a hitter from about 2000 to 2004.
Roger Clemens and Curt Schilling are in the same boat. I think they are poor human beings but they are just tremendous pitchers.
Sosa and Manny are similar to me and were two of the best right handed hitters in their prime. If you look at some of the advanced stats on Manny, he might be one of the best right handed hitters post WW2.
Todd Helton was a tremendous player who is going to get the Larry Walker treatment thanks to playing in Coors Field. It isn't fair to him that he played where he did.
Scott Rolen was one of the top 3 all around third basemen in his prime. He could field, hit for average, and hit for power.
Omar Vizquel is probably the best fielding shortstop of all time. He never set the world on fire with his bat, but he more than made up for it with his glove and was never a liability with the bat.
Billy Wagner was just an amazing closer. To me, 400 saves should be treated like the 3000 hit club and just punch your ticket.

Curt Schilling and Billy Wagner Add Scott Rolen and Bobby Abreu so Philadelphia fans can come up to burn down the entire village of Cooperstown!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!
Just reminding you that this poll will close at 5:00 PM today and the winners revealed soon thereafter (I hope), so if you hadn't voted yet there's still a few hours left.
So far there's been a total of 152 votes by 25 voters. That averages out to a little over 6 players per person but as we've seen in the past it doesn't work out that way. Right now a player would need at least 18 votes to pass the 70% threshold for induction.
Just incase anyone is wondering how I voted here's my choices:
Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Manny Ramirez Curt Schilling
Yeah, I'm pretty much a small hall guy.
Good luck to all the nominees.

Well the votes are in and once again the FAN voters lived up to their reputations as a tough voting body. For the second straight year only one player (barely) qualified. But it is a player many believe who's induction is way overdue. Barry BondsOne of the greatest hitters of any era, Bonds is the all time leader for home runs in a season (73), most home runs in a career (762), and walks (2,558). A 14x All-Star and 12x Silver Slugger his 7 MVPs are more than double what anyone else had earned. And although suspected PED use has clouded his reputation no one can deny the sheer dominance of the man. Bonds got 18 votes from our 25 voter meaning he got 72% of the votes, just enough to pass the 70% threshold. Had we used the 75% required by the actual Hall of Fame he wouldn't have made it. Both Roger Clemens and Manny Ramirez fell one vote short with 17 votes each or 68%. Other runner ups included Curtis Schilling with 12 votes, Billy Wagner with 11 and Andy Pettitte & Sammy Sosa each with 10. No other player reached double digits. Thanks to everyone that voted in this year's poll and good luck to all the nominees in the actual Hall of Fame voting in a few weeks.

WTG FAN.
Hopefully the jackass BBWAA end their grudge and follow suit. And I’ll allow myself to vote for more players in the future now that the GOAT hitter is where he belongs.

Ugh. Should have been Manny or Cuddyer. In what world is Manny more deserving than Bonds? Even if youre anti bonds due to peds how can you possibly support Manny then? And I would love to hear how you think Cuddyr is a HOFer? Seriously you want Cuddyer in at all over Bonds? Bonds one of the most dominant hitters the game has ever seen?

But Bonds is obviously the only player who ever took steroids in that era and was also a jackass.

And I guess two close friends or relatives of Latroy Hawkins have FAN accounts? Its obvious what happened, Latroy has a fan account to lurk with and then he made an alt so he would have more votes then AJ Burrnett, Mark Burhle, Shane Victorino and of course Nick Swisher
