For those who don't watch Dark, last night we saw the first episode of Britt's new talk show, with Rebel in the Ed McMahon role and TH2 as her guests. She cut a monologue on current AEW events before bringing out TH2 for a short interview.
It was a pretty good first showing, albeit a bit rough around the edges -- which is to be expected for a pilot, of course. I'm excited to see how this goes, wrestling talk shows can be a lot of fun and useful for developing characters and stories, and she's perfect for the role. It's also a much needed step in the right direction towards giving the women more stuff to do.

She's a good character for it, and it also plays to Rebel's strengths as her hapless sidekick. I also like that it gave TH2 some more promo time, especially since they're kind of underrated on that front.

I've expressed in other threads that I don't see it as a win for the women's stuff - they've already given Britt things to do that don't benefit the women more generally (like segments with Tony Schiavone that don't really go anywhere except to put over Britt's comedic chops, or Britt popping up during the Inner Circle town hall), and having Britt do promo stuff with male wrestlers isn't going to change that. I take this as a net neutral on the "how are they doing by the women" measurement, or at least, would consider that a segment-by-segment thing to evaluate.
Evaluating it as its own thing, though? This was good. The canned audience reactions were a surprisingly good touch in context, and Rebel's upstage pouting worked well. Britt's late night talk show pastiche bit was also a good touch, although I don't know if I want to see it too often. It felt like a fresher take on the wrestler-hosted talk show segment, and I appreciated that.

if they use it to let the women who haven;t had much promo time to get their feet wet in a give and take talk show environment (which will no doubt be the cause of many future britt matches after she insults her guests) as well as let the women cross streams with the male half of the roster as outside of brandi, penelope and the bunny the women generally have existed within their own bubble with minimal interaction or involvement outside the women's division. and even among them, the non brandi women seldom if ever get any chances on the mic themselves.

I'm assuming Britt may still be having problems with her injury (or they may have other plans for Hikaru Shida), so this might be a way of keeping her in the fold until it's time to reinsert her into title contention.

My main takeaway was that I really like TH2 and wish they were featured more on Dynamite.

Thought it was great. Loved how you could tell she took exception of TH2 insulting Reba but had to keep up appearances. Britt is shaping up to be the ace they thought she could be when they signed her.
Also, Jack Evans can cut a damn good promo!

TH2 with the conspiracy victim character suits them perfectly.
Waiting Room goal imo should be having Shida as one of the guest so sets up Britt vs Shida for the title with Britt finally winning.

The base of the segment is there, they just need to iron out a few parts and she'll be good to go.

Just good ol' wrestling fun. Britt was funny, Rebel was a good sidekick, and I liked H2 getting a promo. I hope it's a regular feature.

Still astounds me that this is the same Britt Baker who was practically silent on episode one of Dynamite when she was on commentary. She has come a long way.

I honestly though it was really flawed
For TV you would need to cut a lot of her starting monologue,it just kinda dragged. it ha sgreat potential, just need a few kinks fixed

I never wanna see Rebel wrestling ever again, but she is an awesome sidekick
Very emotive and expressive, loved the look on her face after Angelico danced off set

Britt has been in her own bubble doing fun stuff while the rest of the division sit in the back twiddling their thumbs starving for air time. It's cool that the only thing of this sort is a woman's gig but yeah, hopefully the segment regularly features female talent. There are far too many girls that we know absolutely nothing about.

The segment is a perfect wresting talk show segment, it gets Britt time, it gets other wrestlers time to set up feuds. It could become a modern day Piper's Pit.

It reminded me a lot of the old classic wrestling talk show segments, like the Barbershop, Piper's Pit, or the Funeral Parlor. And I loved it for it.

Well damn I thought it was going to be on Dynamite tonight. I figured they would let her shine in this role on Dynamite instead of stashing her away on Dark. But its on me for getting my hopes up, With AEW's track record with the women's division I should of known better.

I guess my fears of a Britt Baker over-push were justified.
I like her in small doses but I do not want to hear her obnoxious voice more than once per show.
