Hmm, this is tricky, without doing a full rebook up to that point. Possibly as far back as the end of the Invasion. Jericho/Triple H was a bad World Title program. Rock/Hogan is fantastic, but there was another match that should have happened instead. Undertaker/Flair is the only match I would definitely keep. The rest of the show was definitely bogged down by too many wrestlers, but not enough storylines. Just about everything save for Taker/Flair was booked with very little buildup and it showed. Austin should have been facing Hogan. They even set it up at No Way Out, then changed direction the following night. I would have just done the build for Hogan/Rock, but with Austin instead. For the title match, I hate to say it, but a 4-way with Jericho, Triple H, Angle and Rock makes the most sense. All three challengers had a reason to be in the match (Triple H won the Rumble, Angle beat Triple H at No Way Out, and Rock beat Undertaker at No Way Out) and it would have at least had more layers than Triple H vs. Stephanie, featuring Jericho. RVD was always going to win the IC Title at Mania, I just don't think Regal was the right opponent. That said, Regal was the Champ, so not much I can do, but I would add Edge to the match, making it a 3-way Ladder match. Edge was undefeated at Mania at that point, in ladder matches, to boot. RVD showed over the summer that he can do ladder matches as well. Regal being old-school and not versed in ladder matches would be the x-factor in the match. Since Angle and Edge were pulled to be part of other matches, their opponents irl, Kane and Booker T, can work a program against one another. Doesn't matter what the build is, because both men were doing good character work at the time and the match would have been good. With the other title matches, I guess I'd leave them alone. DDP/Christian was good for what it was and paid off a storyline, at least. The tag division was in dire straights at the time, so I guess keep the match as was, give Billy and Chuck a big win over three teams that will be broken up in a few months, then start fresh after the brand split. Hardcore title, really, who cared at that point? Women's Title, I would keep the triple threat, but have Trish pin Lita to win, then have her get a definitive win over Jazz at Backlash. So, what to do with The Outsiders? ...I've got nothing I considered Kane and Big Show to face them, but then Booker T is the odd man out. Big Show wasn't on the card irl, so I don't feel obligated to shoehorn him in here. But, for lack of any other real options, I'd do Big Show and Rikishi as a makeshift team to face Hall and Nash.
