Did AEW beat RAW overall in the demo or just specifically a hour? It was “a” demo, not “the” demo, as the demo most used is the 18-49 age group, which Raw still won handily in all 3 hours (0.55, 0.48, 0.50 to AEW’s 0.37). For the 18-34, Raw did hours of 0.24, 0.22 and then 0.25. AEW did 0.27. I love WWE apologists, always ready with an excuse including to reframe the argument.

Just stating what “the demo” is that everyone always talks about. Same way when NXT wins the viewership, Khan points out AEW still won the 18-49 demo. Definitely great numbers for AEW, hope they keep going up.

At leas the womans match gained viewers as it went on. But the combination of being after pac and the awful quarter, the initial drop is to be expected.
Kinda sucks the show peaked at the first match, but it was a damn good first match

Kinda sucks the show peaked at the first match, but it was a damn good first match I feel like that has happened before with a Young Bucks opener on one or two occasions where they draw a massive number. They really should’ve been the featured tag team all along (along with the great Hangman/Omega team). The SCU run was a complete waste.

Preaching to the choir here,I said from day one if SCU won it,it would be the biggest waste of the division. The division really took off after Omega and Hangman won the titles and started to become the highest rated segments of the show. The Bucks are also proven to be ratings draw but I understand not wanting to "overuse" some people

No one said AEW won 18-34 rather they won 18-49 which is the wider demo advertisers prefer.

Hey lets calm down, lets avoid name calling. Maybe he though I was trying to frame it in a way and he wanted to make it clear. No reason for fighting. I could see how it could be "defensive" but it really wasnt anything.

It is cool too, I just dont want this thread to devolve into some discussion over a menial use of words over soemthing I asked not saying anyone is in the wrong here. it is still pretty awesome AEW is winning with the younger people.

Avoid calling people "apologists",it usually doesnt end well in my experience. In the end I derailed the thread more i'm sure I will drop it.

I was just clarifying that they didn’t win “the demo” that people mean when they use that term, that’s all. Me and Double H were able to discuss it without resorting to calling people apologists.

Bucks are a big draw as per usual. Nice to see the numbers rise for Serena vs Rosa. That match ruled

This is probably the most trivial thing I've seen spiral into the start of an an argument on this forum. I mean like... is debating someone over the use of a definite vs indefinite article really worth your time? I'm not going to respond to any quotes, and I think you really ought to just avoid that too

It was just a clarification as some people may not be aware of the difference. Wasn’t a gotcha or anything and didn’t think I’d get jumped on for it. I’ll bow out now.

SCU are so particular that way. Just about every other major indy act has translated their indy success into TV success, yet this team just tanked and couldn't turn their pre-AEW popularity into anything for AEW. I think they were always going to be on a downward trajectory - a thank-you title run that put Scorpio in the books as quickly as possible, followed by putting over other teams - but it feels like it is much faster than it should have been.
