This is just a guess but what if this guy was Spaceforce or the one who was leaking Spaceforce the spoilers on reddit? Since people asssumed it was Sabby.

If I wanted to sway people that I was telling the truth, I wouldn't include an anecdote (which I describe as the best compliment I ever received) where someone says "You're full of shit, but you're a hell of a producer."

Eh, I can imagine someone like Schiavone f***ing around with people he likes with sarcasm like that, I don't think it should effect how his story is received at all.

Unsure if this guy is telling the truth. He was definitely a part of the DARK Order segments early on, but you can only go off heresay, but it'd be wrestling career suicide if he was in fact lying about this to get some sort of attention.
The 6'5 Hall of Famer that always gave him an attitude though? Definitely sounds like Billy Gunn, who is notorious for that sort of thing. If it's in fact true anyway. Edit: Turns out it was DDP so apologies to Billy.
AEW's atmosphere has always come off well, but you never know how certain peoples experiences can be or how certain older mentalities can still be present within a company to cause moments of friction like this. If Khan sees this, I hope he makes some steps to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone again. The jock mentality we've seen in wrestling needs to go the way of the Dodo.

If true (and there's no reason to really doubt him) that all sounds terrible. He's better off out of there. I hope AEW aren't treating anyone else badly and take some lessons from this.

Oh that could very well be the case. It's just a really bad statement to include when you're trying to convince people of something.

Tony absolutely does this, he's admitted that he f***s around with the wrestlers in a playful sense. Flat out told people in the Open Challenge like Kingston and WARHORSE "Don't you f*** up this match now!" backstage. He's a ball buster, but completely harmless, never hear bad words spoken about him.

That's a damn shame. I suppose it shouldn't really be a surprise given how badly American workplace culture is centered around enabling employers to exploit and manipulate their staff into forgoing their rights, and how these issues get magnified in any sort of creative environment where the workers have a passion to be in the industry, but it's still a depressing read.
I really hope this thread isn't going to be a lot of folks giving them a free pass because we like their product better than WWE.

Yeah first person I thought of was Gunn and don’t really know who else it could be. But really AEW as a whole doesn’t come off that bad here even if everything the guy says is true. He is so unspecific that it makes wrong doing tough to hold accountable. The best we can figure is that Cody may be a dick, and his HOFer boss is definitely a dick. In other words a couple of people in high ranking positions in a massive company are dicks, which you can say about pretty much any company, pro wrestling or otherwise. It sounds like something that should have been taken to HR in any case.

Nobody's so much giving them a pass as it's one guys word, so it's not something to immediately buy into, it's something to look into, especially if you're AEW, to confirm what's happening and nip it in the bud Plus the guy didn't even demonize the whole company, if anything, he was harsh on one person, his boss in the company, who is a "6'5 Hall of Famer" which imo narrows it down to basically Billy Gunn, which I said before, is unsurprising, he's always been a blowhard. Not like Bill DeMott bad, but definitely has his quirks.

It's one of those things where going by the book seems like it doesn't matter to people and they wanna put it on Twitter to get instant eyes on it these days. If it's true, it's absolutely an HR complaint if he has proof and recipts, which he should if he has all these alleged messages. The way he phrased the first message like "I wanna get this out there on case I dont get through COVID" sounds like he might've caught COVID and panicked and wanted to get it out there no matter what happened.

I don't know how big AEW's offices are but to be honest if I'd been called into a meeting and had Billy Gunn yelling at me in front of my manager (is this manager Tony Khan? Would be interesting to find out), I don't think I'd trust their HR to do much about it. What I would do, and did do when I was in a similar position, is take my union rep into every meeting with me. This guy couldn't do that and it becomes he said/she said and HR almost always sides with their boss.

I don't think the guy is lying, but in the end it's probaby gonna be up to AEW to look into it, especially who may have been causing the problems. For all we know though there's more to the story, which is why I don't wanna jump down anyone's throat or believe anything so quickly. Just that if it's true, if AEW's making strides for a safer work environment, this should also be one of them.

Jeff's been called out before as well. Unfortunately AEW has different branches that don't even touch the backstage area or the wrestlers. So I wouldn't actually be shocked if Cody was unaware of stuff going on, even Khan given how much work he has to do and is always busy. The lower tier workers could be taken advantage of due to that by others who let power go to their heads.

Steve and Dylan are the douches, idk but they seem as toxic as the ones from ROH management Mercury called out last year.
