Rocky IV was released on this day in 1985. One of the greatest cheese movies of all time.

To anybody whom has never watched a Rocky movie at the theater, it is like you're at a real boxing fight. Guys get caught up in the action, scream and yell and throw stuff. One of the most surreal things you could ever imagine.

Yeah, when I went to see Creed, it was insane how invested people got. Damn surreal but damn fun.

I still want to know why they had the fight in what looks like a dilapidated barn instead of an actual arena.

I saw Rocky Balboa in theaters and also experienced this too, especially since the film shot most of the final fight like it was a Pay Per View event even using the authentic HBO Boxing broadcast presentation to really sell the effect. (The fight scenes were shot before a Floyd Mayweather bout.)

"If he dies, he dies."
One of the most bad-ass quotes of all-time.

Amazingly, they took the most ruthless brute in film history in Creed 2 and made him a surprisingly sympathetic figure. The story of Drago and Kid Drago was by far the best part of that movie.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

One of the most surreal things you could ever imagine. Ended up seeing Rocky IV two times in a theater. Both times I didn't like it. Rather Rocky had been a one and done film. But never been a big Stallone fan.

One of the most surreal things you could ever imagine. The only Rocky movies I have seen in theaters were the first one and Rocky Balboa. I was lucky that the first one was re-released years ago as part of Cinemark's Classic Series. Anyway, regarding Rocky IV, it was definitely a good cheese film, especially with all of those music video montages.

For my money, this song is the best one to come from the Rocky movies.
