Sucks to see such a prolific career end in such a fashion.
EDIT: Adding the GoFundMe.

Just came here to post this. I didn’t really follow him post TNA so many years ago, but I dug “The Move That Rocked The World” and remembered him well enough to drop a follow even though I wasn’t at all up-to-date on his current endeavors.
Here’s to the best for the guy. Hope he has a solid support structure around him to keep his head up.

First Melissa Coates (sabu's Super Genie) has to get her leg amputated and now Rave's arm.... f*** off, 2020...

This is horrible. I’ve had the chance to talk with Jimmy a few times including doing an enjoyable interview with him a few years ago. I know he’s had a lot of problems in his life and some questionable behavior, but this just sucks. I hope he adapts as best he can. If he still wants to be involved with the industry in any way hopefully he can be. In any case I wish for him to adapt tremendously and have the next chapter in his life be a brighter one.

I loved hating him in ROH. It was so hard to be a heel in that environment, so hard to get genuine hate from the fans but my god did I ever want every opponent he ever fought to beat his head in for the way he treated Jade Chung. He was great. What a talent.

Jeez, that’s awful news.
He at least can leave knowing he was a memorable contributor to the business.

Very sad to hear this.
I attended countless ROH shows between 2004-2007. Those shows were nothing short of incredible that people will always associate with the likes of Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, and The Briscoes. But there were so many other lesser-known acts who made that era of ROH so much fun. Jimmy Rave and Prince Nana are great examples. They would get amazing heel reactions and crowds couldn’t wait to pelt Rave with toilet paper. I’m surprised his career never amounted to more. Sad news.

His TNA tag team really had an unfortunate name.

This sucks. He was one of my favorite ROH heels, and even if I hadn't really kept up with his recent work, that doesn't make this blow any less.
I very much non-sarcastically wish him the well in his future endeavors.

Seems like he's been having health problems in the last few years: A tragic way for a career to end. His ROH heel run with Prince Nana was entertaining. His TNA tag team really had an unfortunate name. Underrated theme (think it was an instrumental of a Christy Hemme song), but the name did turn out to be a curse.

I guess I don't understand medicine (please be kind if I'm very wrong in my thinking) but it amazes and disturbs me that doctors can so easily do cosmetic work and make someone look like a totally different person through plastic surgery. But somehow they can't save someone's arm or leg from amputation. It just seems like the priorities are very wrong. One case of really being amazed is that Roger Ebert and Bobby Heenan couldn't have a surgery that made their jaws look like they originally did. I'm not criticizing either's appearance. I love Bobby and liked Roger but I just feel bad for both.

I have more to say (sure we all do) but I have probably broken the rules already.

Cosmetic surgery doesn’t involve what was likely necrosis brought about by an infection that kills the skin near the impacted area and puts toxins in the blood cells that pass by it, thus carrying those toxins throughout the bloodstream and potentially the entire body. In such a case, the source of the toxicity has to be removed. It couldn’t be any more different from cosmetic surgery.

It is a worldwide embarrassment that people in the US have to pay so much for healthcare that so many just “try to tough it out” until things get so bad there’s no other option. I left the US when I was 23. A few years later, I had a pretty major health issue. I wound up collapsing at work and being taken by ambulance to the hospital where I had a bunch of tests and procedures done. My out of pocket cost for all of that was the equivalent of $60 USD. I was absolutely floored. The ambulance cost *zero* yen. Sending my best wishes to the guy in this impossibly difficult time. I hope he has the love and support he’ll need to make it through this transition to a new normal.

That just absolutely blows.
I hope he can shift into being a trainer full time, because when he's sober he is a solid worker.
