I watched Friday the 13th: Final Chapter today (for the millionth time, this time with commentary). Anyway, just about anytime I watch it, it brings me back to Corey Feldman’s IMDB page.
Technically Feldman has had a career for decades and has even made some good stuff, but 1989 has to be the last time he even sniffed being an A lister. That year he made Dream a Little Dream. It’s not one of his best known films, but often gets brought up when people talk about the Feldman/Haim partnership. After that he did some voice work for the Ninja Turtles as Donatello but his live action stuff turns into stuff like 1991’s Edge of Honor. This is probably the first time some folks reading this have ever heard of that movie.
Again, he certainly still has a career. But in comparison to his 1984-1989 run with things like Gremlins, The Goonies, The Lost Boys, Stand By Me, etc. it was quite a big career shift.

Mister T practically vanished when the 90s began (although he had a good part in Freaked).

Mister T practically vanished when the 90s began (although he had a good part in Freaked). I’m still a little surprised at WCW having him appear for Bash at the Beach 1994. I could imagine how those negotiations went. Mr. T: The WWF gave me $500 K to appear at Wrestlemania. I’m gonna need something like that to do it. Turner Exec: We’re prepared to give you $600. Mr. T: $600 K? Turner Exec: No. $600. Dollars. Mr. T: I pity the fool who thought my career had longevity.

The Bee Gees' relevance (and disco and a whole in America) died with the 70's.
Now I'm thinking of this:

Did he do ANYTHING notable after the 80s? Didn't he take a long break due to personal reasons as opposed to his career winding down? He had a divorce during a five year gap between movies, which might have played into it.

John Travolta came into the '80s riding high on the successes of Saturday Night Fever, Grease, and Urban Cowboy, only to have a string of flops with Two of a Kind, Staying Alive, and Perfect. He pretty much took the rest of the decade off, only to come back huge in the '90s.

Chevy Chase. Gained notoriety in the 70s thanks to SNL. Did really well for most of the 80s, then by the 90s got worse and worse roles starting in 1991 with the infamous Nothing But Trouble, which also really damaged Dan Aykroyd's career too (save for a couple movies like My Girl). And really reached its death sentence with The Chevy Chase Show. The only real worthwhile comeback being Community, but that soon fell apart by his own actions.

Mike Myers? More or less quite acting by 2010 I know he has done small roles here and there but love guru and Cat in the Hat killed his drawing power.

The Bee Gees' relevance (and disco and a whole in America) died with the 70's. The Bee Gees had a #1 hit in 1990. Barry Gibbs wrote hits for other people throughout the 80’s. Their relevance didn’t die, it just faded.

Let me agree about actual death being synonymous with career death not only being not the point of the question, but kind of creepy.
