How would he have done at different points in the 1990s if he was today’s Omega? Inspired by a post on Facebook I can’t repost directly, but pointed out how much he looked like Brad Armstrong in the 1990s. You be the judge:

He would have been a star in WCW's cruiserweight division but obviously would have hit a Hogan's glass ceiling.

I feel like he would've been a Jericho / Benoit / Guerrero / Mysterio sort who was super praised and widely beloved but didn't really make it big until the 2000s.

Noticed this a while back. Also, if you want Omega in the 1980s purely in terms of looks you have an even more obvious one. Tom Magee: Also through researching for this thread I learned that in 2018 six men beat the hell out of Tom Magee over a parking space issue. Unlike with some wrestlers who have bad things happen to them, Magee really doesn’t look to be at fault. Just really bad luck with the wrong group of guys. Google at your own risk, at least one graphic photo exist.

If you didn't tell me that first pic was Brad Armstrong I would have believed it was Omega, jesus christ.

Always liked Armstrong. Nice dude.
90s Omega. Him vs Steamboat in his prime would be great. Him and Flair would’ve been a match. And for some reason I can see him being part of the Hollywood Blondes lol.

I LOVED Brad Armstrong and he never got the shot he deserved. Ric Flair told me he was one of his 5 favorite all time wrestlers to wrestle.

Brad was always one of my favorites to mark out for on WCW Worldwide/Pro in the early 90s.... and one of the top 10 best WCW themes ever, such an awesome song.

I think Kenny has way too good a physique for them to make him a jobber, but I also think that his chances he'd be given to get over would be sparing, so he'd probably end up in a midcard.

Anyone who says Brad Armstrong was a jobber didn't watch wrestling in the 80's. He may have never been a superstar, but I had Ric Flair tell me he was one of his 5 favorite people to wrestle. Right there he is being interviewed by Tony Shiavone, and jobbers didn't get interviewed. He won titles, he was a mid-card babyface on TBS, and eventually had to do dumb stuff in the 90s to get booked, but that happened to a lot of people.

He would pretty much have had Chris Benoit's career, I think. The fact that he's a better talker alone might have edged him toward Jericho's spot in the WWF, but I don't think he gets higher than the IC title prior to the 00's.

Keep in mind that if he came up in the 80's or early 90's he might well have been a Dungeon guy.
Can you picture that?

If this wasn't on Reddit, I'd blame Riccaboni for passing this along.
