Being a huge Black Sabbath fan, I feel comfortable skipping their more mainstream stuff and picking 5 of my favorite deep cuts from two eras (Ozzy and Dio). 1. Killing Yourself to Live 2. Into The Void 3. Hand of Doom 4. Lonely is the Word 5. Symptom of the Universe I could easily do a top 10 or 20 but let's leave it at 5 for now. All 5 tracks happen to be my most listened to. Yes!! Killing yourself to live prob number 6 for me, or top 10 lol amazing tune.

As a massive Sabbath fan who saw the Dio lineup live twice, I'm seriously loving some of the deep cuts showing up on people's lists here. I never would've expected the Martin or Gillan eras getting this much love. Putting together a top 5 overall would be just too damn hard for me. But I do want to give a shout out to the one era that hasn't been mentioned yet, and that's the Ray Gillen era. The guy could sing literally any song from their back catalog and not have it sound awkward (like Dio doing Ozzy era stuff or Gillan trying his hand at Heaven & Hell, which, I know some people like, but it just never did anything for me). It's a shame that it was nearly 20 years after his passing before the original version of The Eternal Idol, with his vocals, saw an official release, which is by far the superior version of the album. That's not to throw shade at Tony Martin, but it was most definitely Ray's album, and you can tell by listening to it. He and Iommi had some serious chemistry, the likes of which I'd only seen with Iommi/Dio and Iommi/Ozzy. It's a damn shame that it didn't work out.

Fun fact: Sabbath was the first band I've ever remember listening to. My dad played the Paranoid album and I was hooked instantly.
Top 5 off the top of my head:
5. War Pigs 4. Black Sabbath(the fast part in the end gives me goosebumps every time) 3. Symptom of the Universe 2. Into the Void 1. Electric Funeral
Of course, if I thought about it for the entire day, my list might be different. There is so many good songs that I love. Pretty much the entire Ozzy era, plus some of the Dio tracks, and the Born Again record(super underrated imo) I'm a huge fan of.
Edit: Iron Man is still the number one song for me actually, greatest guitar riff and I can't NOT bang my head when I hear it. I especially love any of the live versions.

The first two I feel pretty firm about, the rest I consider perfect but could easily be replaced by about 20 other songs any given day.
1. Warning (even being a cover) 2. Into the Void 3. N.I.B 4. Heaven and Hell 5. Children of the Grave
The first band whose discography I made the effort to seek out and still my all-time favorite. The older I get the more I gravitate to their debut album. Something about how lovesick and improvisational it is gets to me more as my life goes on.

4. Black Sabbath(the fast part in the end gives me goosebumps every time) That final rush has yet to be topped IMO with how much dread it conveys. It's no longer a warning, just the inevitable wave crashing all around. Very fitting for this year and the state of the world in general ...
