Another one of my guilty pleasures was Kurt Angle as Raw GM. He was so endearingly awkward. It blew my mind that someone so naturally charismatic back in the day could be so stiff and awkward. But I loved him for it. Lmao

Jinder Mahal WWE Champion
Loved every single min of it. They did everything possible to get that man over and Randy Orton is a God send for as much as he laid down for that man as well but it didn't work. Making him U.S. champ would have worked tho but then they gave it to Jeff. I think he still has legs as a midcard heel but injuries has taken him out

Jinder’s work is completely average and his character was lame as hell (should have immediately switched to overcoming the odds face), but dude looked like such a star.
His entrance and presentation, especially when he wore his headgear wrapped around his face? Million dollar entrance right there.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of Jinder, but they never gave homeboy a chance to succeed. They had him fluke into a title shot, fluke into a win via ridiculous overbooking and then proceeded to have him keep the title via some variation of the following: Jinder appears beaten, Singh bros interfere and get their asses brutally kicked, Jinder hits Khallas/roll up and wins. (The only exception was the Punjabi prison match, where Kahli also interfered allowing him to climb out. I'm not suggesting he was ever going to be this amazing heel champion, but they did absolutely dick once the bell rung to present him as anything resembling a threat

If he isn't winning at least some matches on his own merit, then you are defeating the purpose.

Yeah, I’m actually fine with Jinder getting the belt in a bubble. The issue is that he became a long term champion when he should have been a stopgap at best.

I’ll also second the 2006 DX run. The Vince and Shane impersonations had me dying. It was completely idiotic from start to finish, but Shawn and Hunter were clearly having a ball doing the old gimmick and Vince sold his ass off for them getting humiliated every week.
