Wonder if in Dark Side of Football they'll mention the NFL getting Playmakers cancelled.

I wonder how many of the Dark Side of the Nineties episodes are going to be about famous people on heroin. Or celebrities that got shot to death. Nineties had lots of that. I can bet the Oklahoma City Bombings and Eric Rudolph manhunt will be two episodes I think the series is more about exploring things that people may not already be familiar with. Terrorism and serial killers are pretty well known.

Please do an episode on the USFL. The stories about that league are bonkers. There’s an ESPN 30 for 30 about the USFL It’s very interesting Pony Excess is one of my favorite documentaries period, sports or otherwise. Especially when they get into how the penalty impacts the team. “We weren’t big, but we were slow.”

Track those down for some fun stories

Will 90’s strictly be about pop culture?
Asking because we really don’t need more on Clinton/Lewinsky and Columbine do we?

Lets see for the 90s we've got woodstock 99, heroin chic supermodels, lou pearlman, jerry springer, maybe something on gay celebrities in the early 90s being outed because of hiv.
For football besides the obvious concussions theres the browns leaving for Baltimore (the believeland 30 for 30 did that well already though), the start of free agency, the bengals to prison pipeline, rae carruth, chris henry, derrick thomas, i cant remember if its antonio Cromartie or dominque rodgers Cromartie but whichever one has like 11 kids by 9 different women.

Stolen Championship: The 1925 NFL Championship controversy.
That'd be an interesting one.

Dark Side of the 90's has me for sure.
I'm not really a football fan (I follow baseball and basketball) but if the stories are told in as quality a fashion as Dark Side of The Ring I might be able to get into it anyway.

Please do an episode on the USFL. The stories about that league are bonkers. You want bonkers? Try the WFL in the 70's. It hits just about every lesson in how not to run a sports league. I'm still holding out for a team wearing orange and magenta. Tampa Bay, are you listening?

Will 90’s strictly be about pop culture? Asking because we really don’t need more on Clinton/Lewinsky and Columbine do we? Possibly. Would an episode on WTO, lay-offs of defense workers or the Japanese bubble burst be an interesting watch? The LA riots maybe.

Phil Hartman murder/suicide, Robert Downey Jr's troubles (with a nice epilogue confirming he recovered), Hugh Grant and George Michael's arrests and the cancellation of the Ellen show after she came out would be my guesses for 90s episodes, maybe the latter two could be combined to make a LGBT in the 90s themed one. OJ, Kurt Cobain, Bill & Monica and Micheal Jackson allegations have all been done to death and finding relevant people to interview might be tough.

I'm a very casual sports fan and I still think ESPN's "30 For 30" documentaries are some of the absolute best television being produced today. Dealing with very human stories that almost anyone could relate to, that the people involved are athletes is almost incidental. DSO whatever can certainly tap into that same vein.
