So two episodes of Family Matters are pretty much the episode. Steve and Carl get into a dispute, they settle on it on a TV show, and before the TV show can resolve the conflict, they resolve it themselves after Urkel does a heart felt speech.
The season 3 episode "Citizen Court" and the season 4 premiere "Surely You Joust".
So which one do you prefer? They are both funny, heck they both have funny Waldo moments, which is always a plus with me, I love Waldo, very under rated character.
"Citizen Court" had the hamster interrogation, "Surely Your Joust" had Harriet beat up a pro athlete.

I picked Surely You Joust for using American Gladiators with WWE superstar Mike Adamle. I think Waldo gets Steve and Carl on AG and plays a part in helping them resolve their differences.

Waldo "Steve where are your glasses?"
Steve "I don't need them, I got contacts."
Waldo "I don't care who you know, where are you glasses."
Waldo is awesome, I like how is foil for Steve just as much as he is a foil for everybody else.
Also in both episodes, Carl's mother is on Steve's side.

Citizen Court, for this exchange:
Steve: "Please state your name."
Waldo: "Illinois."
Steve: "...no, state your name, NOT name your state."
Waldo: "Oh! Waldo Geraldo Faldo... From Illinois."

The show relied more on the Steve-Carl pairing, but for me it was Eddie-Steve-Waldo trio always worked. Like when they joined the Army by accident, became Nuns or got trapped on the fire escape.

Citizen's Court for me. The exchange with Steve and Waldo alone (quoted above) makes the episode. Waldo was a great character.

Funny you mention pairing. I wonder maybe if Laura wasn't the actually Winslow that Steve wanted. LOL

took a second for me to figure out how to vote, lol, there's no box to check, I didn't realize that you just click on the vote total thing itself.
american gladiators episode all the way, the ademle/csonka era with elektra on it. great ending too with the tie and "you have to do it all over again!" "....what!?", lol. Although I do love the court ending too with the judge coming out to give his ruling, and steve and carl say nevermind, we fixed it ourselves, and the judge flips out "nevermind!? well don't you even want to hear what I would have said?"

I liked when they showed the tale of the tape and for Carl's weight it said "none of your business". 😁

When I saw EP capitalized in the title, I thought there was Family Matters music like The Simpsons Sing The Blues I didn't know about.
