I feel like most people know in by now in 89 Batman it's Joker who murdered Bruce's parents.
I've seen that movie so many times I forgot that it was probably a pretty big twist when it came out.
Or was it?

Agreed, but wasn't it "To Serve Man"? Would also include the chick was a dude in "The Crying Game". You mean, “Man, was that a good movie!”?

I grew up on the Burton series, and never read any comics. So when I first saw Batman Begins, I was annoyed because I thought they just changed the whole backstory. Of course I'd learn later on about the actual canon from the comics and felt kinda silly about that.

And then the Joker movie kind of played with both ideas {Spoiler}by having the Wayne's killer being inspired by Joker .

Agreed, but wasn't it "To Serve Man"? Came in here to post the “It’s a cookbook!” line. (And yes, it was “To Serve Man.”) Since that one’s been mentioned, though, can I post this one?

That Ben Kingsley was not actually playing The Mandarin in Iron Man III but a failed actor named Trevor playing The Mandarin.
Think enough time has passed, and the fact it’s been announced that for real the actual Mandarin will be appearing in the upcoming h MCU movie Shang-Chi

Psycho shifts genre half way in from being a crime thriller about a woman crossing the country with embezzled cash to being about people investigating her murder.

Jeckly and Hyde must surely take this without a doubt. The phrase is used as a cliche to describe a person who has a second angry person, but that is the big twist at the end of the book and thus ruining the story. I don't know how a writer would feel, on one hand their story has become world famous but at the same time completely ruined.
The "no, I am your father" has now entered pop culture and I see the usual suspects twist is kinda getting there (a film I actually haven't seen)..

I'd say that one still works. unless you're familiar with the movie beforehand you'd have no idea.

I thought this said “Jackie and Hyde” and wondered what on Earth you were going on about That 70’s Show for.
