They cut the workforce in the middle of the pandemic, in the most profitable year in their history.
They bulled Florida politicians into changing laws so they can keep operating.
They did not do testing and their talent got sick.
They make no effort to reign in or reprimand covid science deniers in the roster or in management.
They decided to force talent to hand over a portion of their earnings outside of wrestling, dis incentivising them to do covid friendly activities like sitting at home and streaming while at the same time slashing what the talent can earn as they don't run shows.
They sat by as covid spread through the performance center and NXT, and their big solution was to limit main roster exposure to the performance center Petrie dish by canning raw underground.
They refuse to mention covid on TV for what can only be political reasons, given how much money the company owners spent on trying to keep the people responsible for thr catastrophic mishandling of the pandemic in power.
They made no meaningful attempt to help fight disinformation either using their shows or internally, the did a few online things but otherwise tried to carry on as normal as long as they possibly could, fighting against even basic precautions like masks.
**** the WWE for their handling of this year. They made the most selfish decisions they could each and every time.

They cut the workforce in the middle of the pandemic, in the most profitable year in their history. and of all the people, PAT BUCK gets to come back?!!
Way to feed the other companies with better known talent and agents. They bulled Florida politicians into changing laws so they can keep operating. They refuse to mention covid on TV for what can only be political reasons, given how much money the company owners spent on trying to keep the people responsible for thr catastrophic mishandling of the pandemic in power. Fixed #1 ;-) Well I hear the Florida politicians aren't much better. I'm trying to think...which forms of entertainment DID mention it? I've seen others who make veiled references but don't mention the disease. (I am of two minds here...I do want to use ent. as a form of escaping the real world, but on the other hand....the real world. And 2020sploitation isn't exclusive to WWE. There is an ad for a dating site where Satan meets a woman named...2020. So there's a lot who are being cutesy and think comedy will make us feel better.

AEW was as clear as day about Covid, even citing quarantines as reasons for why some wrestlers were missing during a few shows.

I know the late night talk shows and comedies mentioned it a lot and raised money to help people struggling during the pandemic, they did just go, 'Well, I'm working from home now because NBC love my wallpaper, how about that weather, huh? Oh hey, celebrities on zoom!' Florida politicians aren't great, but even they wouldn't have classed wrestling as an essential service without blackmail and bribery.

Waits for someone to chime in with, BUT AEW KEPT HAVING SHOWS TOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Which is true, but they’ve been fairly transparent about the Covid situation, at least in comparison with WWE’s “cover our ears” approach.

It was a nice thought a few months ago, but it's becoming increasingly clear that the calendar year ending is going to do nothing to solve the enormous challenges the world is facing right now.
Celebrations like this ringing increasingly hollow.

Calling this "tone deaf" is an insult to everyone else that was tone-deaf this year.

So when did WWE become TNA? I swear hiring all those ex TNA employees and staying in Florida for the last year is slowly turning Vince into Dixie Carter.

They're kicking 2020's ass in the same way Rikishi kicked Stone Cold's ass at No Mercy 2000.

So I haven’t actually watched this in a while and F***, I didn’t expect my metaphor to be that accurate. Edit: Strong’s from Florida too! Woooooow.

Either that or 3 hour of RAW where it nothing but commercials for Law and Order.
