Sydal is billed as being based in Clearwater Florida? Explains his space case new age gimmick. Apparently that's where his wrestling school is also based, which is why he's billing himself from there now.

Clearwater has a problem where members of a certain cult make it difficult to be able to run businesses if you're not a member, so looks like the dark order may have competition.

When I was a kid, Clearwater had the best beaches for day trips out of Tampa. Now its a city that Scientology is trying to own. Insane how times have changed.

I liked them having guest commentators this week. Also, I keep expecting a huge cloud of weed smoke over the commentary table sometimes, given how silly Taz and Excalibur get.
Tay's match felt like a Cynthia Rothrock movie. Which is to say, awesome.
I rewatched some Nightmare Collective earlier to check something, and if Luther's lost at least 20 pounds since then, I would not be shocked. Surprising amount of chemistry with Best Friends.
Bear Country's great, and goddamn, Stu Grayson and Evil Uno are tremendously strong. Like yeah, Knightfall was horrifying to see, but Uno holding up the other for the Fatality wasn't chopped liver, either, that was tremendous.

I like the idea of a Leva/Skyler Moore tag team if the post-match book-reading was any indication.

I like the idea of a Leva/Skyler Moore tag team if the post-match book-reading was any indication. Same thing happened with Alex Gracia, so I'm thinking it might just be Leva having a gimmick of befriending jobbers after defeating them. Provided they aren't The Real Mean Girl.

This week's ranking-by-view-count as of Sunday afternoon EST:
Brian Cage vs. VSK 62K Dark Order vs. Bear Country 37K Hikaru Shida vs. KiLynn King 29K Anna Jay vs. Dani Jordyn 23K Best Friends vs. Chaos Project 16K Tay Conti vs. Freya the Slaya 15K Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela vs. Ryzin & Sean Maluta 11K Matt Sydal vs. Danny Limelight 9.2K The Waiting Room with Shawn Spears & Tully Blanchard 8.9K Leva Bates vs. Skyler Moore/Jurassic Express vs. Shawn Dean & Fuego del Sol 8.3K Ivelisse vs. Kaci Lennox 5.6K Ricky Starks vs. Sotheara Chhun 4.7K/Brandon Cutler vs. Baron Black 4.3K The Acclaimed vs. Louie Valle & Mike Magnum 3.1K
Cage is still in a tier of his own. His match currently stands at over double the views of the third-place Shida match, may well end up with over double the second-place Bear Country debut if it grows by a faster enough rate. Speaking of that third place, Shida got eyeballs on Dark, which has been very consistent - glad that means more people are watching a good KiLynn King performance.
That said, Bear Country's debut did really well. These guys drew some very concrete interest, and with good reason.
IIRC, Anna Jay just usually gets a lot of views...but the repeat performance of the Mean Girls Jingle Bell Rock dance by Dani Jordyn probably helped with repeat views to get it higher this week, and/or people just like Dani Jordyn (which I would believe). Conti vs. Freya is a slight standout just because Freya is new and Conti doesn't actually show up very often.
The middle tier with Joey & Sonny, Sydal, and Best Friends is pretty unremarkable. The Waiting Room being pretty low is probably a very direct measure of apathy toward Shawn Spears. Kaci Lennox and Sotheara Chhun didn't draw as much interest as some of the more colorful debuts, which makes sense (no interesting gimmicks, performances were fine but not standouts). The shine may have come off Leva Bates in singles, but then, I can't really come up with a reason that she and the Jurassic Express dropped so significantly. Probably just noise in the data where they can rise or fall based on how interesting their opponents are.
...the Acclaimed got a bump from Dynamite last week and got the least views this week. If that keeps up, that might be a sign that they aren't really clicking as they are presented on Dynamite.
