I was going through some videos of Linkara, and got to a point where he mentioned that the Golden Age Sandman went from this: to this, which I agree isn't as cool. Got me thinking about what other costume changes, without either heroes turning bad or villains turning good, were bad decisions? Some would say the electric blue Superman...I'll just say that it would have worked better for a new character (and later on Livewire got that suit and just changed the letter, so there's that). On the Marvel side of things...I get what they were going for and I know it has its fans, but Iron Man Spidey doesn't have the right feel compared to the classic or black outfits. And of course, Sue Storm going to THIS outfit for a while: ...also a personal one...and this may change if she's an entirely different person compared to the original, but at the moment I'm not keen on the upcoming Atomica redesign for the Earth-3 they're going for in comics, going from this (which yes, is just a lady in The Atom's costume) to this (bottom left corner)

Sue Storm wanted an invisible outfit to match her gimmick.

For a time in the 70s, Hawkeye used this atrocity: Maybe they were thinking that a character with the name "Hawkeye" should have a Native American inspired theme to his look? Assuming these comics came out before M*A*S*H became a hit anyway.

Sue Storm wanted an invisible outfit to match her gimmick. Sue Storm was being influenced by her Malice persona again. When that was settled she went back to a mostly normal FF costume.

Blue-perman.
Azbats (but that was the point?)
Domme Wonder Woman, er, plain ol' Diana (not unlike Sue's sexy costume)
Geez, which decade did most of these come from?
Sandman's "elf" costume when he joined the Frightful Four.
Firestorm becomes fire elemental (fit the storyline...but I really don't like that era of the character)
I also didn't like Jason Rusch Firestorm, Mk. 1 (with the, um, tribal markings on his face?)

Azrael : Agent of the Bat. Enough said. I dunno if that counts since it was a different person.

Who remembers 80's Black Canary? Between that and this outfit for Zatanna... ...did 80s DC have something against fishnets?

I actually would welcome back the warrior identity. We don't need five different earthbound Green Lanterns active at once.

Do hairstyle changes in Manga count... Because I hated when Lucy Heartflia abandoned her cute little side ponytail for twintails, and later for a total side ponytail.
If I have to stick to comics. I'm gonna have to go with... Thor those big suspenders but no shirt.
Also Mockingbird when she switched from black and white to blue and white with a new hairstyle, and bare legs.
Also Talisman from Omega Flight when she switched from yellow heels to homemade sandals because it wasn't obvious enough she was Native.

Sue's did have a bit of alignment change/storyline explanation. She was under the influence of the psychic entity Malice which had affected her in the past.
