Well, the anniversary was yesterday but anyways...
The sequel to the 1982's sci-fi cult favorite was released to...less than popular fanfare really. I don't get the hate for it to be honest. Yeah, it's a little preachy and a little bit of a slow sludge here and there but it's still a technical marvel (the Lightbike scene I posted above is glorious) and of course, we can't talk about the movie without talking about the amazing Daft Punk score, arguably one of the best scores of the decade.

Not making another film.
But they are making a large ride based on the films at the Magic Kingdom (actually a copy of the ride from Shanghai Disneyland) , so Disney still values this property in some ways.

should have went to see it in the cinema but alas ...
PHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENOMINAL soundtrack, that i've probably listened too more than anything
and of course i created a storyline for a bridging trilogy, bringing together the previous movies and my ideas for new ones
still wanna see lightcycles roar down a fibre optic cable shooting at a virus!
sure sometimes the movie has speed issues, the action could have been a bit faster, but it certainly adds massively to the lore of TRON the original is of course a classic

It always struck me as a film that probably would have made an impact had in 15 years before. The CGI may not have been as viable then, but by the time it was released it there simply wasn't as much novelty to the setting.
