See, I dont think the problem is WWE.
Hunter's NXT, or at least Regal's NXT, clearly wants to push him. It isnt like his is being buried or ignored. He even got vignettes.
The problem is the audience reaction based on years of WWE style.
If the audience isnt willing to give him a chance, he's screwed, but it wont be NXT's fault - they have really tried.

IMO they had it right when he was the straight man playing off of all the weird shit around him when he first got to NXT namely of course Riddle. But the problem is that they both pretty much removed that and also Pete Dunne plays that role perfectly already even as a heel and with Pete back prominently now Thatcher comes off as a far less interesting version of Pete. |

I say poke fun at it. Thatcher should start coming out wearing a "Thatcher = Ratings" shirt. Have him start calling himself "Made for TV" Timothy Thatcher. |

Still have have faith that they’ll find a spot for Thatcher (this is NXT after all and not the main roster).
He would be better served as a ‘hard man’ for a faction at this point, where his ‘not pretty style’ can be used as an ingredient instead of a whole meal.
